(The Illuminative sits orbiting Coruscant awaiting its Jedi commanders. A Jedi strike team was preparing for a daring rescue mission of Jedi knight Vax Kote. Jedi Padawan Jadoch Taithum, Jedi Master Ronok Vang, And Grandmaster Aeon Kensho prepare to leave Coruscant en-route to Korriban. A graveyard world of the Sith.) (This was going to be a clarifying moment for the Jedi. Did the Sith truly return. Did the lone Sith assassin Lacerus return to this dark world with the Holocron. Many answers lie here. Most importantly our Jedi brother Vax Kote needed help. And the Jedi were willing to put their lives on the line to save him. Harrowing the dangers of Korriban could be too much for any Jedi, The Jedi would need to rely on each other for strength and resolve.) {OOC-Ok This is our startup thread. Jadoch will stay here and has a special guest coming to visit him on his second mission. Everyone can make a post here to start us off. lets get is on!}

Yes, Master.
::At the next intersection, Jadoch turned and headed to the nearest turbolift. It quickly got him to the level his room was on; luckily his room was virtually right next to the lift, so it took little time to enter and grab what he needed. First, he started a download of the information he could access on Djem So from the Archives. There was a bit of restricted information, so he was unable to download that, but the rest of it wasn't a problem. He also grabbed the second saber, that of Thann Mithric, and slipped it into a pouch at the back of his belt. It was always good to be prepared.
Jadoch was somewhat wary - to put it lightly - of being in command of a flagship, especially Aeon's. He'd only lightly studied starship tactics, and while he knew he'd be useful at a support terminal most places on the ship, command was a whole other thing. Because of that, he also gathered brief teachings on starship tactics, types, and abilities. It was a quick four-hour course, the barest of bare bones, and against any experienced commander he'd be worse than useless when it came to a battle.
Barely two minutes had passed since he'd left Aeon's side, and he'd set a three minute marker for himself. He made sure that his utility belt was fully stocked - again, just in case - and turned back to his datapad right at three minutes. It had stopped downloading fifteen seconds before, so he pulled it out of its socket and tucked it into a pocket on his way out the door. This time he took a horizontal turbolift across the span between the spires - the dormitories were not in the same spire as the main hangar - and a vertical lift up to the main hangar, where a transport ship was idling. In fact, it was a Lambda shuttle, one of the most common shuttles in the galaxy. Well-armed and armored, it was nonetheless not built to defend against current weapons. No doubt this was just the shuttle they'd be taking to the Illuminative...they'd most likely be using a more combat-styled shuttle like the Delta or Theta-class shuttle to land on Korriban's surface.
Jadoch approached the shuttle and walked up the boarding ramp, glancing at the tidyness of the gun ports as he did. They were the second most important parts...the shield generators and engines tied for first. Without those, the ship either didn't run or was easy pickings. He entered the main area of the ship and seated himself at one of the auxilliary stations. The pilot, copilot, and SysOp station were already occupied by Galactic Alliance troopers, preparing the shuttle for liftoff. Jadoch merely sat there, watching and learning, and waiting for the two powerful presences he could sense approaching to board.::

(I walk into the main hangar, the doors slide open, I see padawan Jadoch enter a Lambda shuttle. I walk toward my green and black fighter and hop on top, and make a few adjustments before I get in).
(I get into my fighter and prime the engines, F16 whizzes in excitement, I sigh in relief. Vax is my like my brother, we will rescue him at all costs, even if it kills me. Once the engines were primed I radio the shuttle).
"I'll follow you to the Illuminative Padawan Jadoch, Once Aeon arrives we will take off and prepare ourselves"
(I sit back and relax my muscles and meditate. My breathing becomes long and even, my muscles untense, and my eyes close. I waited for Aeon to come so we could leave. I kept on meditating. Aeon's arrival was near, I could sense him close by).

(Boarding my Lambda shuttle I walk up the loading ramp. My hood hangs over my head as the security team stops at the entrance to my shuttle. They were worried about me leaving. Before in the wars when i was a young Jedi master I faced the attacking Sith strike team in the temple. I hadn't left the temple in months. My presence was soothing to many of the Jedi and security teams that guard the Jedi temple on Coruscant.)
(My arms crossed in my long sleeves My hood covers most of my face. My red eyes cast a red glare out of my hood. Taking a seat behind captain Vatan I motion with my hand to begin take off. Moving through the lines of traffic moving like insects in lines. My shuttle cuts up into the orange sky, The sun is setting.)
(Entering orbit of Coruscant I look to my defender class flagship The Illuminative. Our strike teams was nearly assembled and we would storm Korriban in search of Jedi knight Kote. His presence seems to have all but disappeared in the Force. Concerned with his resolve i know he could have fallen. Even though I didn't want to embrace that thought. It was a possibility I must be prepared for.)
(My Lambda class shuttle enters the hangar bay of the Illuminative, My shuttle plants a soft landing. Walking out the loading ramp my hood cuts the bright light of the hangar bay. Moving to the turbo lift My hands are still crossed loosely in front of my brown Jedi robes. Heading out I have my men following me. The feeling of excitement could be felt in this veteran crew. Reaching the bridge I see Captain Vatan walking alongside me now. He had caught up he was such an achiever. I see my two Jedi comrades awaiting my arrival. Giving the order I point my blue finger out of my long sleeve as it swings for a moment.)
"Bring us to Korriban. And prepare for the worst."
(Traveling in hyperspace I look to Padawan Taithum. Removing my hood as I look to him my face is revealed.)
"Have you had any luck triangulating Vax's signal Jadoch. If any of us could I have faith it would be you. We are nearing Korriban any information would be useful."
"We haven't had any luck pin pointing Vax's location. Possibly when we enter orbit we might be able to locate his ship. Vax's Atromech droid should still be on the surface. If we can locate Vax's ships location it could lead us to him."
(Looking to him I had faith in his abilities. Fueling my faith we could locate knight Kote. On the bridge we were traveling to Korriban. My silvery hilt dangles from my brown leather belt.)

((ooc- Saw you post something up of my astromech droid so I figured to post something in.)) {R4-P12, Korriban}-When Vax had not made contact to his astromech droid it set a concern level for the small droid. At first it figured that communication was lost but when a day past and Master Kote still had not contacted his droid that set up an even more concern in the droid. R4 and Vax were extremely close to each other even thoug Vax was a jedi and the astromech droid was just a droid. They seemed to have some sort of connection to each other in missions and outside of missions.- -So when Vax had not made any contact to the astromech droid R4 knew well something was wrong. Not only would this concern the droid but there was a possibility that it would concern those that were close to the Jedi Knight; possibly Master Aeon Kensho and Master Ronok Vang.- -Within the effort R4 activated a homming becon that was within the ship that Master Kote had taken to the planet. This homming becon would help the rescue team track the fighter and the droid itself down to were Master Kote was at. Then after the droid turned and sent an S.O.S. transmission out to the jedi order on Coruscant or any ships that where in that distance. With luck they would get the signal and would have a lead of were Master Kote would be at exactly. R4 had seen his owner last and with any luck the small droid was capable of telling the rescue team where Vax had gone.-

[Hiding on the other side of Korriban]
:On board my tartan cruiser that I have named the Gra Inya, mandalorian for Vengeance In Flame, I hide on the other side of Korriban, trying to sense all the force signatures that can be found near Korriban so that I would be the first one to know if the Jedi arrived. This was idiotic, what was my single ship going to do against the Jedi who might appear? I silenced my mind before doing my best to use to the force to be as close to omniscient as I could, sensing everything.:

{Darth Visciouz}
(Sensing my apprentice's confusion I sit at a large computer terminal deep within the innards of Korriban's tunnels. Looking at the screen I have a nice diversion planned for the Jedi when they arrive. A massive disturbance in the Force tells me the Jedi are on their way. Darth Zaken's fake distress called worked just as it should. Timing was of the essence. Hitting a button on my holo disc communicator. Opening a transmission to Lord Lacerus. I had been overly harsh to this young man. The Darkside now sung through him. Becoming more powerful as his hate flowed through him.)
"Lord Lacerus, I sense the Darkside serves us well. Once the time is right I will give you the signal to board the Jedi vessel. I have something special planned for them. I will create a chaotic distraction allowing you a window to board and sabotage the Jedi flagship. Kill all who stand in your way, Especially the Jedi!"
(A large grin reaches my face, Lacerus was a weapon through the Force. He was becoming more a Sith with each passing moon. Fear was his ally and his powers grew. The hate swells more as well only increasing his control of the Darkside.)

(I stay close to the shuttle, I make quick spins and twists to avoid traffic. As we enter the Hangar Bay I go nearest to the exit, I then softly set my fighter down and turn off the power).
"Hang on Vax, we're coming"
(I exit my modified Delt-7, and walk to the bridge. As I get there Jadoch is already getting briefed by Bridge Control on how the systems work. I went back tothe Hangar and prepared my fighter. I sensed Aeon was on the Bridge, I sent a message to him via comlink).
~"Master With permission I'd like to get down to the plaent early and takle out the security systems on the planet. Then join you on the surface. I have a plan, and I'll meet you in the briefing room, Ronok out"~

(Listening to Ronok my hand raises to my chin contemplating the situation. He was on his way to the briefing room. Walking from the bridge to the briefing room located a short distance down the corridor leading off the bridge. Entering the room I stand at the table, Hitting a button and taking a slight step to the right I hit a larger red button. A holographic image of Korriban ignites from the base. Korriban was mot much further. Sensing Master Vang nearing I turn looking to the door with my glowing red eyes.)
"I must disagree Master Vang. We will head to the surface together and split up. We can cover more ground this way. After the situation with Vax I realize we must go together. You can take the security systems out, Or more try."
"Do not under estimate this planet, Or its ancient sercurity systems. Korriban is not just a graveyard to Sith lords. Many Jedi have fallen victim to this world. Many Jedi were struck down on this planet, And far more Jedi were seduced by the Darkside of the Force. We will head to the surface together. Once we have reached the surface we can split up. Even splitting up strategically makes little sense. We are stronger together."
(We were close. The tension on the bridge could be felt. Who knows what could be waiting for us here. We could be likely heading into a trap, The Force was growing hectic with so many disturbances as once, It could be over bearing.)
{OOC-Jadoch is having a little difficulty getting online. We will move to the Korriban dark secrets thread in a moment. I want to set the situation for Jadoch and Lacerus. We will arrive at Korriban in the next few posts. I was thinking we will take small fighters to attempt to enter Korribans atmosphere.}

{{OOC - Good thing I brought my fighter eh? I had an idea but it seems you have a better one. I like it!}}
"Master, I was born on this place and lived here for quite some time. I know some ways to get into the Temple unoticed. But very well Vax comes first then I'll blow the security systems sky high"
"I'll be in the Hangar Bay if you need me. Time to tell the troops what they're up against. See you in a moment Master"
(I bowed and exited the room, I left a small crytal ball on the base, it pulsed Cyan. I kept walking til I reach the Hangar Bay. I can talk troop. The troops were already getting ready for battle so I called them over).
"This is the fight that you have been craving for boys! If you want some, get some! There is no turning back, no surrender, and no mercy for those fools that call themselves Sith!"
(The Troops and Marines, raised their fists high and yelled for triumph. The large mass of men shouted, the shouting echoed through the ship for a while).
(I walked pass them and started to make some more adjustments to my fighter. I growled in fustration, the emergency thrusters have a stall in them. F16 whirled in impatience, then it beeped with an attitude).
"Well fix it! If I'm going back to where I was born I want to be ready for the greeting party when they start shooting at me!"
(After ten minutes I fixed the thrusters, I sighed in relief, I then looked at my droid, who was whirling, and beeping in excitment. Then the lights went red).
"Home sweet home"

Of course, Master Vang.
::Jadoch nodded to the pilot, his signal to launch. The pilot was competent, and not particularly fond of showboating, so the trip up to the Illuminative was fairly smooth. He kept to his skylane, and they all watched as Ronok danced his fighter around them. Minutes later, having threaded through the congested Coruscanti traffic lanes in the upper atmosphere/lower orbit, they emerged into the clear area designated for military vessels and increased speed. A minute later they were firmly settled on the capital ship's hangar deck, and Jadoch had departed, waiting for Aeon to arrive.
Minutes after he did, they were on the bridge, and Jadoch was given command of a computer console that tied into the communications array. By the time Aeon asked if Jadoch had triangulated the signal yet, he'd determined that there was no remaining signal to track, and replied in the negative. They needed an active signal to triangulate position...they'd just have to wait for the next signal.
Over the next few days, Jadoch kept checking back to see if there was a signal, otherwise studying ship tactics and his own Djem So movements. A few hours before they were scheduled to arrive, though, they finally received a signal on Jedi frequencies...an emergency beacon sent by Vax Kote's droid through his fighter's transmitter. It was a constant transmission, and because they were able to pick it up in hyperspace Jadoch was able to triangulate its signal.
He approached the briefing room, easily able to sense the Jedi Vang and Kensho inside. The door was open, so he walked in, waiting for a natural pause, then interrupted. As he spoke, he pointed his datapad at the holoprojector's base and pressed the 'send' button.::
Forgive me for interrupting, Masters, but I have the location of Jedi Kote's ship and the beacon emanating from it. It probably isn't where he is now, but it will get you closer than if you'd had to search the whole planet.
::A white dot, a blue dot, and a yellow dot started pulsing on the holomap of Korriban.::
The white dot is Jedi Kote's ship, triangulated and accounting for planetary rotation. The yellow dot represents the known location of a Sith Temple. Last time a scouting team glanced at the Temple, it was in ruins, but we all know how easily those can be rebuilt. The blue dot is the next closest known Temple, this one only abandoned.
::With a bow, Jadoch turned and exited the room. He knew his duties, and it was best that he be on the bridge when the Illuminative reverted into realspace. As he entered the bridge to stand next to Captain Vatan, he could sense the tension. It was common - logically, at least - for a ship's crew entering possibly unfriendly space to tense up, especially since they didn't know what was waiting for them.
During the voyage, Jadoch had realized that he could stand by and offer advise instead of directly controlling the vessel while in combat. Captain Vatan knew his job better than Jadoch would for a while, so it was best to let him control the situation and merely have him heed Jadoch's advice about enemy locations and possible plans. It was - for now - the best tactical choice, and the least likely to get good troopers killed.
Jadoch could feel his own tension rising. It had nothing to do with entering unfriendly space and everything to do with the darkness he could sense approaching. During their voyage through the stars he'd felt the bright lights of vastly populated planets, the dim flickers of desert worlds, and even the lifeless voids of dead worlds. Korriban, though, was different: it was a desert world that pulsated darkly in the Force. The Dark Side of the Force had clearly soaked into the planet over millenia of Sith control, and it disturbed Jadoch to no end. He reached out to the Force to calm himself, and was only partially successful. He still had a bad feeling about this upcoming mission...he couldn't shake the thought that they would learn some unwelcome information.::
((Good, Garyn did tell you. I'll be on as much as I'm able to be.))

{Aeon Kensho} (Watching Jadoch tend to the bridge and give his professional opinion of the situation. Master Vang heading to the hangar bay to speak to the troops. Looking to the planet and the locations Jadoch had marked for us. Walking out of the briefing room I look down to see Jadoch standing on the bridge. Jadoch seemed on edge, I feel most of the crew was on edge as well. It was understandable. Not entirely sure of what await us we enter the orbit of Korriban.) (A silence greets us as it appears a clear run to Korriban. Wasting no time I head tot he hangar bay. Looking to the two squads of pilots awaiting us. We would have to storm to the surface of Korriban. This mission took a certain boldness. Pulling my hood on as I enter the hangar bay I see my men look to me. No speech was needed for them. Just my presence soothes them. They had faced many missions with me before. Some faces older then others but the same calmness washes over them. The healing power of the lightside of the force.) (Heading to the hatch of my Chiss clawcraft. With confident nod I climb into to my cockpit. No droid was present I ran everything on my own. A Chiss tendency, I would rather run the ship myself. Warming up the engines I prep my Clawcraft to take off. Seeing my men boarding their black N-1 starhips I know they are ready. Taking off to the surface I feel a disturbance in the Force.) (Something wasn't right. Flipping and twisting my white Clawcraft through a asteroid belt. Moving through it I feel something is out of place here. Just as we fly deep through the belt I see some of the larger asteroids ahead are covered with Vulture droids. Just as I see them they release all around us a large dog fight ensues. Dodging to missiles barely with a barrel roll to my left I look back to see these missiles coming around the asteroid still locked on.) (Hitting my engines to full speed I attempt to out run the missiles to no avail. Flicking a few knobs on the ceiling of my cockpit I begin to spin. Heading into a tight cluster of asteroids I twist and a hug close to the asteroids. Seeing the missiles hit each other I see the two missiles smash into asteroids behind my fighter. A large explosion is emitted as i push full throttle away. My fighter is slightly singed with black marks.) "That was too close for comfort. Something isn't right. I sense a trap. That explosion seems to be larger than anticipated." (Just then orbital guns begin firing from the surface into the belt. Explosions tear out all over. Many pilots scream over the intercom. Looking back I see the guns are not only targeting our fighters. The guns are targeting my flagship. The trap had been sprung. Hopefully we would survive to see the Sith's next move. ____________________________________________ {Darth Visciouz} {Flicking the signal button for Darth Lacerus the trap was sprung making the perfect distraction for him to board the Jedi flagship in orbit. The Jedi wouldn't know what hit them. Lacerus was becoming a harden Sith. Fearless and ruthless!) "Now is the time Lacerus. The Darkside will be with you!"{OOC-Ok make your last post here Ronok. :I take off at full speed once the ship is being fired upon, they do not even have a chance to fire at my ship in the confusion. But my ship was surrounded by enemies once I landed, I lowered the catwalk and used force speed to run at top speed out the door and into the middle of the enemies. I waited for their first attack.:

((Since Aeon and Ronok are leaving the thread, I'm going to go ahead and post out of order.))
::The swirl of pain, anger, and confusion blanketed Jadoch for a few moments. He was not used to this sort of mental attack, and it took him several long seconds to compose himself enough to put up his thought shield. That lessened the tide somewhat, but he had to actually shy away from the Force a decent bit in order to regain control of his faculties.
Once he did, he took stock of the situation. Orbital guns were firing from the asteroids, both on the Illuminative and the fighters that had launched from it. Many fighters had been hit already, taken out by the same surprise attack that had wounded the Illuminative. The capital ship itself had been caught with most of its shields down, and had taken a number of hits in the first few seconds of the orbital gun barrage. Luckily, the bridge shield had been and was still up, but shield emitters all along the ship had been disabled by the barrage. Some of the most critical, those protecting the hangar bay, seemed to have been hit the hardest.
He hadn't been able to sense it at the time because of Korriban's Dark Side aura, but there'd apparently been a Sith waiting in orbit. Sensor records showed a single ship blasting from where it'd been towards the Illuminative, and entering the hangar decks. That was the prevailing darkness that Jadoch now felt. He turned to the captain, who was busy shouting orders.::
Captain. Raise what shields you can, and pull back to effect repairs. Return fire while you can, if you can.
Also, and more important, there is a Sith aboard this ship. Seal the...
::Captain Vatan listened to the first sentence of the second part, then to none of the rest. He just pointed to the security officer, who was currently assisting one of the other stations to try and regain control of the ship. Jadoch hastened there and pulled the officer away from the other console.::
There's a Sith on board. Seal the blast doors and give me the override code. Concentrate security where they can be in large groups and have cover. Have them mass their fire, as much as they can pour out as fast as possible. I will be heading down there myself to intercept this intruder, once I arrive the officers are not to interfere. Give the order!
::The security chief was galvanized into action by the urgency in Jadoch's voice, and quickly sounded the alarm, which only added to the general cacophony, but did mobilize security forces towards the hangar.::
Override code is radiance. Good luck, Padawan.
Thank you. Captain! Keep this ship alive.
::Without further delay, Jadoch exited the bridge, unclipping his lightsaber as he entered the turbolift for the hangar deck. It would take several long minutes to arrive there, and until then the security troopers would have to hold their own. As he stood motionless in the turbolift, he gathered the Force to himself, preparing for the fight he knew he had to win.::
==Guards==
::Guards stationed in the hangar started as the ship entered the hangar and landed. As the Sith walked down his ramp they pulled their weapons and stepped back, spreading out and taking aim. They held their fire, though, waiting for the reinforcements called by the alarm and subsequent broadcast. A group of five more entered the hangar, clothed in riot gear and armed with assault blasters. Once they entered, they aimed and opened fire, targeting the Sith.::
((Total of 10 guards firing. Half automatic blaster rifles, half blaster pistols.))

(Aeon entered the Hangar, and I hopped into my Delta-7 and fired up the engines, a whirl escaped my droid, and a laugh from me. Following Aeon out the Hangar Bay, we blasted into space toward an asteroid belt).
(I saw the Vulture droid cover the rocks, I broke right as Aeon broke left and narrowly dodged the incoming missiles, a dog fight consumed the belt of asteroids. Aeon was fired at by a group of Vultures, I doubled back and fired my lasers blowing each droid sky high).
"Stay conscious of the asteroids boys! And keep focused on the mission at hand. We leave you here and I'll be back after we have picked up the package"
"Yes sir. You heard the Jedi! Give them hell!"
(I put the throttle to full speed, I went inside an incoming asteroid and weaved in and out and passages, not even a minute later I exited the massive asteroid and flew side by side with Aeon).
"lets give the Sith something to remember us by eh?"
