Wookieepedia.
Though I normally wouldn't take such information at face value, the links provided lead to full page biographies upon most characters presented, as well as the novels, shorts, and comics that they appeared in.
Most, as well, bear artist renditions.

Hrmn. Only problem... That list lacks yellow as a blade coloration. But, I checked Wookieepedia and that list lacked it as well.
Try adding it with Bastila Shan as it's user.

There even colours such as lava, making an appearance in SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) this saber has no typical white core but just a flowing lava effect throughout, can;t find an image atm, but i assure you, it exists!

perhaps, but as far as I know SWG has no real set storyline, unlike KOTOR and the other games/movies/books/comics. In that sense, it wouldn't be canon in the same way that those are, which would fall down to the stuff it has in it.

The black lightsabers are cool. I really dont care if its not possible I just like them a lot. Just getting my point through on the black sabers. My favorite saber colors are purple the one that Mace Windu wields. In RP my character Tal Phantom on myspace wields a purple bladed saber. Its the only saber he will wield. The only colors I could see where to be: (I FOUND THE BLACK ON WOOKIEPEDIA SO TECHNICALLY THERE CAN BE A BLACK LIGHTSABER YAY!) 1.)- Pink 2.)- Black (chemically altered crystal) 3.)- Blue 4.)- Bronze 5.)- Brown 6.)- Clear 7.)- Crimson 8.)- Cyan 9.)- Dark Blue 10.)- Dark Green 11.)- Dark Viloet 12.)- Dark Red 13.)- Dark Yellow 14.)- Green 15.)- Emerald 16.)- Heart of the Guardian (Bronze with yellow core) 17.)- Lava (yellowish-orange, blade emitted resembles a fiery blade) 18.)- Light Violet 19.)- Light Yellow 20.)- Lime (Light Green) 21.)- Magenta 22.)- Mantle of the Force (Cyan with a silvery glow) 23.)- Orange 24.)- Gold 25.)- Violet 26.)- Rainbow (Shifts through the color spectrum) 27.)- Red 28.)- Silver 29.)- Silver-blue 30.)- Teal 31.)- Viridian 32.)- White 33.)- Yellow 34.)- Yellow-green My favories are Rainbow, Black, Lava, Purple, Lava, Dark Blue, Dark Purple, Clear, and Cyan. If you dont believe me look at this site. Thnx starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsaber_crystal

As you should well know, Tal, Wookieepedia is not entirely canon, nor is it entirely reliable. If it isn't in the movies, books, comics, or games, it isn't really considered canon. At most, its dubiously canon.

I am just saying guys even if it does not appear in comics, games, or movies many still could use black. I have seen many using that color/shade as well as clear and white.

They might do so, but it isn't recognized as a color of lightsaber that is possible. The physics behind a lightsaber are pretty well explained, and though not possible in this universe (until we break the current laws), the black lightsaber (and clear, btw) is not within the laws of physics in the star wars galaxy. White is feasible, black is not, it simply has to do with 'color'.

I don't think a black lightsaber is possible, except maybe if a Sith Lord is imbuing the crystal with so much Dark Side energy that, because the Sith Lord is so evil, the blade is black.
Just my theory, but other than that I don't think it's possible.

[glow=red,8,300] This has been discussed on the Star Wars: Message Boards too...
A true black bladed lightsaber is impossible. Period. Black is the absence of all light and color. Lightsabers emit light. You cannot have true "black" lightsaber...

god the black lightsaber argument again! Short and simple it is not possible.
And as for clear! I dont know who came up with the idea for clear but that to is impossible. Light is color. Color is light. there is no such color called transparent. things can be transparent.
Now a white lightaber is feasible. A silver lightsaber too. Grey i guess could be argued as well but it would probably just look like a silver blade due to the fact that it is just light, it shines.
Objects can be painted black or clear. But light has to follow certain rules.

Long time lurker few poster here.
The only way possible to have what would seam like a black blade would be to have a blade with a gravitation force equal to that of a black hole. One that not even light would escape. Only with this would you have the image of a blade surrounded by light that was being sucked into it. The major problem would be, with a gravitational force that strong no one could wield it.
(not possible)
