A lawsuit of spite is just as malicious. It's really not going to help the board. He'd just throw you a defamation of character suit for the names you're calling him.

No he should be a bigger man and at least donate something to the forum we can give away in a raffle or something to help even things out.. There has to be consequences for what he did. |

He was not cleaning things up...everytime you see 35 posts in a row he just deleted entite pages indiscriminately.
He for some reason aimes to kill the boards,destroy all the work of add ing content we have done for 2 years..
There is nothing he can say in defense,this was blatant effort to destroy the Jediarchives..
80% of all the threads he deleted where new..
I'm telling you man I can`t let this slide,can`t you see what he has done,look at all that..
He has no defense,so he can give back to the forums somehow or I will so all I can to even the score.
He countless deleted art work I made in the graphics forum,that you can`t put a price on Xwing you have no idea the extent of the damages done.

Um Kit I agree with you he should be sued he took all of people hard typeing away. All that hard work from the people that come here was deleted by that fool. I am mad that he deleted my charators chapter 1 and 2 of her story. That took me 4 days to hand write myself its not gonna be easy to get it back. Oh I am so mad i wanna help with kit and sue him to.

I'm debating what he did or that it was wrong. I am merely saying nothing will be gained, other than a need for vengeance. Turn to the news channels now... vengeance and anger is ugly isn't it?
Those that are here and support the forum won't be deterred. New content will be made.
If you want to persue legal action, fine. You need to stop this thread and not mention him. Defamation is any easy counter-suit and this thread only fans the "flames".

Yes but I needed to show the forum what happened,people are wondering what happened to there posts. I am mearly pointing out how he has destroyed 40% or the forum content. Almost half my post are gone! I went from 130 down to 68. It's frustrating when you realize that every one of my post represented research of and personal experiences with FXs. He countless deleted art work I made in the graphics forum,that you can`t put a price on Xwing you have no idea the extent of the damages done. I understand how you feel Kit. I am an artist (cartoonist/illustrator) and I've had my art thrown out and trashed before. |

I had been away for the last week or so and I came in tonight to see this thread first. I am outraged as you are, Kit, and my first question on the matter is one that will not likely get a good answer: that being "why?"
After reading this thread in its entirety, I looked over the rest of the forum in a general manner and saw the extent of the damage. I agree that something must be done, but am at a loss as to what that might be. If I were in your place, my first move would be to permanently block him after such an attack as that. But I tend to be impulsive when I'm angry.
Still, as was said before, we can rebuild the forum and I will help in whatever small ways I am able.

Well its official now,the posts are gone forever,there was nothing proboards could do to bring them back.
I even offered to pay them $50 a hour .
But it could not be done..
Its going to take me a LONG time to get over this.
Last week I lost my entire computers hard drive and had to reformat and now this..
Honestly this stress is not good for me,as some of you know I am battling a medical condition ( I have a small tumor in my pituitary part of my Brain) and stress will work against the medications trying to shrink it.
I am going my beat to mediate and calm myself I really am.

When my computer died I got so angry that it got to the point where I just lapsed into apathy about it. I got a new one and worked hard to make it better. Your anger will wear off. Exercise helps or some activity where you are occupied all the time. When it wears off or just dissipates to a lower level you will be fine. It may even turn into a joke or something to be lighthearted about, seriously.  Look on the bright side, you have a forum full of people who are sad about it and have just vowed to try and make it bigger and better. Could be worse, a lot worse. Oh, and as you said, you can sue him. Money doesn't make things better, but crushing someone in court does give one some satisfaction.  |

I, for one, am aware of the condition you speak of and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, sir. May your recovery be both swift and complete.
While this IS a set back of monstrous proportions for a great many of the forum members, the board still exists and can be rebuilt. If nothing else, we can take comfort in that.

This seems an awful lot like the time that Anakin betrayed the jedi order and slaughtered the jedi at the temple. They also, were not able to be brought back, no matter what price was willing to be paid. We know that it was a dark day, however, we also know that it wasn't the end. Luke Skywalker came along and brought a whole new era of jedi knights to the galaxy! I have full confidence that Kit and all the Jedi, and even Sith on here, will make it through this with an even stronger resolve than before. I for one won't stop posting on here because of this, and from the looks of the posts, neither will many others. You have a great site here Kit Fisto, and many would agree on that. I mean hey, you have 1,600+ members on here that absolutely crave this site from the looks of things. I had never posted on a message board before this one, and now I'm addicted! It sucks that much was lost, but it just means that we all have to work that much harder to re-establish what was erased. Will it be difficult, perhaps. Will it be fun, well, was it fun the first time everything was posted? Of course it was! Everyone just needs to pull together, and make this site what everyone has come to love in it. That's about all I have to say on this, but may the force be with us, ALL.
