Hey everyone, first I wanted to say that this is my first post and I fell in love with this board the second I saw it. Thanks for putting this together. Anyway, to my question. I'm going to get a force fx saber in the next couple days. I've got my eye on the Obi-Wan. How does the loudness, brightness, and overall experience compare with the other sabers? and On a scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate the Obi-Wan? Thank you so much.

8-)Hello Shadow Jedi Endes!! Welcome to the forum my friend!!I for one really like the obi-wan rots fx!!I won't say that it's the loudest;but; it's a really classey saber in my point of view!!!Now if you want a loud saber;then the anakin rots and the luke rotj or the mace rots is your saber. The best saber for handling is the luke rotj!!i will tell you this;one fx will lead to another; take my word on it haha. As for the obi-wan rots fx for class I'd give it a 10!!For the blue blade I'd give it a 10. the loudness of the speaker I'd give it a 7.I hope this helps you my friend!!DaJoQuim ;D

Dajoquim, thank you for the warm welcome and information. Now I'm stuck between the Luke and Obi-Wan sabers. Thanks again. Again welcome to the forums. DaJoQuim is right. I would definitely recommend either the Luke ROTJ or Obi-Wan ROTS. Both are excellent for handling having a great feel, but the Luke is better for spins. I personally own 4 Lukes -2 for dual-weilding and 2 for reserve backup. When your doing tricks and spins they are comfortable and allow for better speed than the other lightsabers. If you're trying to decide which to buy a Luke ROTJ or an Obi-Wan ROTS, go with the Luke because MR is no longer making them, and they are only going to become harder to find and more expensive with time. MR is still making the Obi-Wan so you have plenty of time to save up and purchase one.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice Red Five. I've decided to go with the Obi-Wan ROTS because of the blue blade, which I like a lot more than the green blade. Since the hilt designs seem so similar, I think I'll be happier with the blue blade. Thanks again guys, I don't plan on being a stranger here.

I was just wondering if it's normal for the blade of a obi-Wan to start making a little 'clicking' sound after a good number of spins and slashes. I'm kinda scared it might go "SNAP" in a bit... The sound is where it meets the hilt.

The sound is where it meets the hilt. Okay, I'll chime in on this one gendo. Does this clicking sound like something rattling inside the hilt? If so, it's just the motion sensors in the hilt. All Force FX sabers have this clicking rattle about them to some degree (some more than others). Or is it a creaking sound? If so, it might just be the blade flexing in the plastic holder around the retention pins, this is normal to some degree as you "wear the saber in", but if the blade is wobbling a lot, then you should worry a little more. However, from your description of "clicking", it's most likely just the motion sensors, and nothing to worry about at all.

I really need help with my Vader FX saber. It seems that the switch has gone out and it will not activate anymore. Before it went completely out it would stutter before it ignited up fully.
Help me Please. it is killing me.

I received my Obi-Wan saber today and it's amazing! It's got a good weight to it, it's great for spins, and it's just all around awesome. One thing that disappointed me a little was the look of the blade. It wasn't nearly as white in the core of the blade as I expected. Does a camera distort the image? I got the picture from this website: www.lichtschwerter.de/obi-wan-kenobi-fx-lichtschwert.htm, so this was not taken by me. Mine doesn't look bright like that, it's kind of that pale blue in the core. Is that how they all look? Thanks.

The white core is a effect that cameras give the blades, they do NOT look like that in person.
