Does anyone know if the sounds of the new Vader were upgraded from the last one? I know the ESB Vader only has one clash sound, but has a killer idle hum. I hope the idle hum stays and a new clash sound is added with the new ANH Vader. I noticed both the ESB Vader and TPM Maul only have one clash sound. Time to step it up MR if you wanna keep this Sith impressed.

I am already on the pre-order list for both myself. The Anakin FX is nice, but the Obi-Wan's blade blows it out of the water and the Luke ANH will be a much lighter blue in color if MR's pics on their site is any indication. And I brought up the Obi-Wan as I am sure that the Luke ANH will have a smoother lit blade like the Obi-Wan.
Not to mention that this FX hilt will be cheaper than a Graflex hilt and will be a great alternative for those wanting a Yoda converted Graflex but don't want to spend $300+.
If the Luke ESB FX is any indication, then this FX should also mimic the Graflex in every detail as well making the aforementioned alternative even more viable, IMHO.

You may even do what I am thinking about doing and having Ultra install his new Driver/sound board and a Blue Luxeon V when you have him convert it. -Kyp

Do you guys think it'll be worth it to wait for the ANH Vader saber or should I go for the ESB Vader saber now?

It there sound slightly different it is due to better speakers in the hilt.

PhoenixDarksider, unfortunately the answer is no. MR confirmed a while back that the guts would be identical to the Vader ESB, so I'm assuming that would mean the sound board as well.

Soo, what is the actual difference between these 2007 editions and the ones I already own???

Well if you look at the actual props used in the films, the Vader ANH is slightly different from the ESB. I remember one thing the MR rep confirmed was that the little wire coming out of the Vader ESB won't be there on the ANH. Somewhere on this board someone listed the differences, if you feel like search through the first couple of pages.

I'm still confused. I own the Vader ANH already (2003 edition) is this just a rerelease? The same saber with a different date stamp? Is the Luke ANH different to the ESB version from 2004?

Hi silkysean!!I read somewhere that the new vader anh is a vader esb converted to anh which is a change of a off/on switch;and;maybe the wires of the esb taken off on the side of the hilt. In other words not as wide as the 2003 version ;but;the same size as the vader esb 2004 version. If that makes sence.I'm sticking to my 2003 vader anh saber. That's my two cents.DaJoQuim

Oh so that's the only difference DaJo? I'll just keep the old one then. Not much of a difference anyway. Even though the sensor is kinda messed up but still, the fact that is second gen (if I'm not mistaken) makes it special. At least from a certain point of view.
