The scuff isn't deep at all, but it is quite noticeable when the blade is powered up. I won't be duelling with it so it's really just for cosmetic reasons that I'd like to polish it out. My Vader ANH 2007 was the last one Suncoast had on hand at the time I got it and was therefore the display model. It has a small cut to the polycarbonate that, when the saber is turned a certain way, the "emitter shroud" covers up. I was wondering how one could fix something like that as well. ;D Thanks for the tip! As for removing the adhesive the stickers leave behind, I use a cleanser called (I kid you not) Goo Gone and it works very well. The adhesive residue wipes right off as though it was never there and it's safe for metal and other surfaces.

One of the things it's designed to do is remove glue/adhesive. That's the only reason I use it on my sabers. It's a solvent* almost like paint thinner and it's overkill to use it for things like fingerprints and so on. For that, I use a light mist of glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. That cleans it up nicely and glass cleaner wipes away cleanly.
On a related note: the black paint on my Obi-Wan is starting to wear off on the "grenade" section of the hilt. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did they use to patch it up?
*As a solvent, you'll want to use it in a well-ventilated area. Outdoors is best.
