I had it two months ago, but I didn't take time to post pics !
Here's my beloved Anakin ROTS ! ! !
It's one of my favorite FFX's !
The blade is really bright and... BLUE !
If you're still wondering if you should get it or not, don't think twice, you won't regret it
And I had 20% off when I got it so it's just... Cool...
See you soon for pics of my full maul and soon to be received Luke ROTJ... I can't wait... ;D ;D ;D
Here is a small review I made :
Hilt : The hilt is very beautiful, and very similar to the MR LE in size and look. It is very shiny, so wearing gloves is recommended if you don't want to leave hundreds of fingerprints on the chrome.
I don't know if everyboy has this problem, but on mine, the covertech knob is quite loose, even if the screw is really well tighten.
It's no big deal but I wouldn't like it to fall apart someday.
Anyway, I have no doubt some of you will send it to UltraSabers, to be able to wear the hilt on a belt !
Functions : The activation button is not where you would expect it to be, but it does the job quite well, with no accidental turning off.
Grips are very well made and seem rocksolid. It only takes 3 AA batteries, easily installed.
Handling : In hand the saber feels great and well balanced. Not too heavy or not too light. It spins great and it's a real pleasure to swing it around. The blade doesn't wobble of feel loose at all.
Light : The blue blade looks fantastic, and is with Obi Wan ROTS and Luke ROTJ one of the brightest ever made. On a fresh set of powerful batteries, color is very close to the blue seen in ROTS, for both Obi Wan and Anakin. In pictures the saber shows a bright white core and a dark blue color, just like in the movie.
On the photos I took, it actually seems rotoscoped !
But I think the blue background helps a bit.
Sound : Sounds on this saber are particularly loud, and if you put the hilt too close of your head it will actually hurt your ears !
The motion sensors work very well for me, and if you swing it with enough strenght, sounds and moves almost always match.
The three clash sounds are good, and you don't need to smash the blade against a wall to hear them, which is of course a good point.
Power up and power down are the common "Jedi" sounds, nothing
special here.
Overall : This Anakin ROTS is a great FFX lightsaber. It offers a truly beautiful hilt, really close to the movie prop. Sounds are loud and crisp and the blade is simply one of the brightest ever seen on a FFX !
Highly recommended for those who don't have one yet
See you soon for a Darth Maul Double Bladed Lightsaber review !
