I have decided to put the mandalorian costume on hold for now. As of now I am going to go through with creating a jedi/sith costume that I will wear for haloween and the up-coming Phoenix Cactus Comi-Con in Arizona. So far I got four out of four things ready for the costume. That includes two lightsabers that will be used; one which I will have clipped on my side and remain their for the remainder of the time and the other which I will be lugging around. My shoes which are just tenny shoes not like the jedi ones, and a grim reaper face mask/robe that I have stored away. So pretty much you will see me at the comi-con when I go next time. When I do have it completed I will post finished pics for you all. For now here are a few progress pics. Second Lightsaber: Shoes will be Using: Mask/Robe: (no pic yet but when I get it down I will post a pic) Handling Lightsaber:

Pretty much it has been going slow counting that I have a NJROTC staff job and all the homework I have to do. It has left me out sort of of actually getting the neccesities that I need for the costume. I am still sorting through box's of the robe but have not found it yet. Hope I can.

I am not much farther into my costume. I actually finally got the outer most turnic from Good Will today. Amazing how you can get certain things for a costume and only pay as little as 2.50.

Here is the turnic that will be used. It may be an ordinary shirt but I am going to be doing some sniping of the shirt making it into the sith turnic I desire. But yeah it will look good with a brown under shirt under it. Yes woohoo almost there.

Of course and using stuff around the house can really help when it comes to making a costume. I was hoping of going to do a scout trooper or an imperial stormtrooper but realized that they would not be ready till halloween. So I decided to make a costume that will be ready halloween. And that is this costume!

Alright I am nearly to almost completing my costume. Tonight I managed to cut through the neck part making it more like a turnic and adding a few cut marks here and there making it look like I was in battle. I cut the bottom of the sleeves and the bottom of the shirt to show that it was not one of those sweat shirts to keep warm rather then a turnic. I managed to grab a good size red pair of pants that would work well as well for the costume. The bottom of the shirt I cut out seemed to be quiet useful as I think I can use it to a part of my belt. I would of taken a picture of me in the costume by my nephew went to sleep so I could not get a snap shot of me in it. The only things that are missing is a brown shirt, my black robe, and gloves. I plan on looking for my black riding boots tomorrow so hopfully those will be up tomorrow. I am not entirly sure just yet. So everything is running smoothly to a point and I may be ready before halloween. If that happens I could get some time into getting a mask from party city or some other place to wear under neath the hood of my black faced robe so that when I do take it off I could be alien like LOL! But yeah there is the picture of the partially complete costume. Still working through to finding that robe/hood I used a few halloween's ago. May take some time until then.

A good, cheap alternative to putting a lot of money into fabric to make a costume is getting a karate gi. You can find them in a few colors including black. Those with some boots...you have yourself a cheap Sith costume. You can also accessorize with belts, chains, gloves, and a mask. Why don't you take a picture wearing the stuff you have now so we can get a better look. www.karatedepot.com/un-md-11.html -For the tunic. www.karatedepot.com/un-md-14.html - For the pants. If anyone you know sews, you can get fabric pretty cheap to make all the parts to a good costume too. Most fabric at a fabric store is pretty reasonable, unless you get into silks... By the way, how old are you? Just wondering....Knowing your age will open up new ideas too.

I was actually hopping of getting a Karate robe and using the pants that I got. I believe that to be better as well. My belt right now I really don't know. But yeah I was hoping to getting a karate robe at a stor in my area; just going to the stor and buying it.
Any of you guys know where I can possibly get a good belt for my costume. If it comes to this then yeah I will. A picture will be up of me in my costume tonight.

Seeing as my nephew is staying over at my grandmas tonight I had no choice but to pop in front of a mirror and take the picture of myself with my camera phone. It's not the best looking but it shows a glimpse of me wearing the turnic part of it. And no the orange t-shirt is not the under turnic. It is what I was wearing at the moment.

A belt, eh? There are numerous places to find decent belts for a Sith costume. Wal Mart has belts, womens belts are wider and usually have more detail than a regular man belt. Also you can get a police/military style utility belt. Good thing about Sith costumes is there is no regulations...A Jedi like myself has rules and regulations to costuming.

Yeah I took notice in that when I looked at some belts. What I do plan is getting a belt from walmart and modifying it to my likeing. Or just use a regualr cloth like belt for my belt. I took a glance at a few Darth Nihilus photos and noticed that it looks like he is just wearing a cloth belt so; that is what I am going to do with mine if I can't find anything at walmart. That is where I am getting my gloves and a few other accesories for the costume if I finish and I want to add a few more things.

I need some of your guys opinions on this part. I was thinking of cutting the black part of the grimm reaper mask out and wearing a mask type deal. Like a skull with a bandana or just a full alien type costume. What do you all think? Opinions are open on what I just came up with?
