File-New-It will bring up something and you set the size to
300Px-Width
150Px-Height
Now you have it get a back ground you want Get the arrow tool and drag it to your white 300pxwidth 150pxheight layer and adjust to to where its see able
Go to layer-new layer and then go to rectangel marquee tool make a thick line on the top go to paint bucket and fill it with black do that again on the bottom then make a thin line below the top black bar and go to Edit-Stroke-Stroke 1px white then repeat that above the bottom black bar
Take the Image you want drag it to the sig layer cut every thing out around the image you just want the pic of the person so you have to cut all the extra pieces of the pic out when your done with that Create a new layer above the pic and get the rectangel marquee tool again strech it around the WHOLE sig and go to Edit-Stroke-1Px white then
Go to
Layer-New Layer-Settings- Screen-And again if its just like photoshop select the tiney box that says Fill With Neutral Color Black
Go to your brush tool and draw out your saber
Duplicate the layer 3 Times Go to filter blue guassian blur Layer 1 Copy 10 gaussian blur Layer 1 Copy 2 20 Gaussian Blur Layer 1 copy 3 40 Gaussian Blur merge all those down to layer 1 of your saber then go to Layer-New Agustement Layer-Hue Saturan Click the box that says Show Preview Make your saber the color you want
then add the text and your done
There......

I have Gimp but i'm still learning this stuff. I was thinking of making a few sigs and contact boxes with that. Do you use the same thing to make contact boxes as you do sigs?

Ok, so the part you told us is how to splice, and do lightsabers, etc, which is very helpful.
But now how do you do the other things? Such as: Making the thing cackle in the background? adding the white lines around the sig? and the flashing force fx logo?
