Ok I get it now, I don't know what a tonfa is or any of those names, so I wasn't sure what that was.

I'll fix it as part of my next revision. Just need to know the things that need changed.

OK, I didn't wait for the changes. But here it is with white background, black background and as a transparent background gif.

I still am not getting the bronze color blade thing, but this is what I came up with.

As far as how I did it. It's just years of experience with shadows and textures and gradients. I just set up the colors then work from the base items putting in strokes and bevels and then gradients where I think they fit right based on the shapes and the position of the parts.

The grips I assume are raised so I color them and shade them as if they are raised. Same with everything else. The claws are beveled to look like claws, the handle beveled to look round like a handle.

The Chrome thing is a plug in for Photoshop called eye-candy. I just adjust the settings until I'm happy with the filter and then apply it.

I don't really have any way of making a tutorial because it's all trial and error. I've spent about 5 hours on this already total, and it's hard for me to just go back and see what I did to get where I'm at.

I'm not taking requests. I did this because I liked part of the hilt and was bored. I'm finishing it off as a way to pay back Uriel for providing the drawing.

Not sure anyone else is taking request though.

I know it is his and I did request it. but I looked back awhile after I requested it and he said he is accepting no more requests so ya. BUT I was looking at Jlewis's lightsaber in his sig. That is pretty much what i want. I mean exactly what I want. That is what Exar Kun's lightsaber looked like just the saber part of the hilt where it looks like fangs or whatever on the end. That is pretty much it.

hey JLewis, if u ever get bored again, do your cool effect work on anakins saber. But make it sort of sith-ish with some red and blakck buttons and what not.

I did that, don't know if you want it or not. if not, its up for grabs. I'm sure others could edit that to look better as well, I just don't have the mentality to play with photoshop too much right now.

I was wondering if you could design my lightsaber hilts? I recently built mine in the RPG section of this forum.

Here is how I described them:

e looked down at the twin black blades. Long and elegant they appeared deceptively simple, yet so much effort had gone into their creation. Following the instructions had been fairly straightforward but adding the locking mechanisms to the bottom, the release for them had been tricky. He stared at his creations and held them in his hands, perfect.

2 blades, that can merge into a staff. Each blade is rather simple in design. Smooth, sleek and rather simple. All black. The activator is at the top, a small red button.

The base of each saber would have small spikes almost that would "interact" with the same "spikes" on the counterpart. When thrust together to form a staff the spikes would intertwine and lock into position. sort of like a lock and key. There is a small red button on either saber, right next to the base. This button, when held, would allow the twisting motion to ensue to "unlock" the sabers. The button at the bottom is also red and cylindrical.

Basically, it's a simple hilt design, with a smooth grip that is almost adhesive to the hand (no lumps or bumps ect), activator and the opposing patterns on the base of each that would allow them to lock. Sort of like teeth, but with each saber having teeth that fit the other, if you catch my drift.

If you could make the red blades pulse as well I would be very grateful.

If you need more explanation or whatnot let me know. It is sometimes hard to communicate things like this in words when it is more of a mental image
