This is my favorite out of the series! It has a great, emotional fighting scene and Anakin becomes good again. It's the wrap of Star Wars.

4th in my eyes. As I've mentioned in other posts, it's definitely a great movie, but the one thing that spoiled it slightly for me was too much time spent on Ewoks. I think that if GL had concentrated slightly less on them, I'd have been a lot happier. For me, they were just that little bit too cute. Maybe it was my age at the time, but I thought that they probably would have appealed more to younger kids and girls, (I was 9 at the time, and probably going through a 'macho' phase! LOL).

I love all the star wars episodes, but Return of the Jedi will always be my all time favourite, although I must say when they brought out the DVD version of it, I was kinda sanddened to see that George Lucas totally deleted the original Anikin Skywalker actor from what I consider one of the most famous scenes in all star wars movies, ie the final scene. I understand why he wanted to put Hayden there instead, but its a shame that with that set of DVD's that kids may have, they may not get to view the original scene.

The weakest of the OT in my opinion. I'd rather have Wookiees than Ewoks. The redeeming quality? Lukes green saber and the final lightsaber duel.

All time favorite. The battle with the rancor, the death of jabba, lukes revelation about his sister, the Battle of endor (both the space part and the ewoks part [yes folks, I like ewoks ]) lukes final confrontation with vader, and Anakins redemption. need I say more?

Return of the Jedi earns 10, because of beautiful scenes, great storyline, battle between Vader and Luke and Luke's new lightsaber. ;D They removed scene, where Luke construct his new lightsaber, and that's bad.
I would've place all episodes from my lovest to worst in my opinion< like this: 1)TPM 2)ROTJ 3)ESB 4)ROTS 5)ANH 6)AOTC

i have to say that i would give return of the jedi a 8 because well i just like it. it is my number 4 favourite from the starwars saga. the reason why its 8 and not 9 is the battle at the end i mean a bunch of teddy bears beat the empire i hvae to say if i was in command of the empire i would be highly embarrased!!

I am amazed that so many of you rate this film as your favorite, or very highly. I was very disappointed when I saw it. The biggest reasons why I was disappointed were: Darth Vader too easily defeated; Having another Death Star was dull...it had been done already...enough of the big grey thing in the sky that explodes; Bobba Fett done in so easily, there was almost no point in his character; too many cuddly teddybears (Ewoks)...as has been said already, they beat the Stormtroopers rather too easily.
Further food for thought...if the Emprorer could foresee so much, why couldn't he foresee Vader tossing him over the railing? Solo and Lando have too high ranks. A general wouldn't personally lead a commando raid. Lando doesn't seem to fill the role of so high a rank.
My favorite remains, "The Emire Strikes Back." It has great timing and action scenes. The character development is superior to "A New Hope." Lucas isn't great directing people, so Empire benefits from veteran director Kersher.

Well Return Of The Jedi was my first Star Wars movie ever back in 1986 and it stands the most memorable & nostalgic Sw movie for me. I'm kinda ROTJ fan you could say, but just barely leaves behind ESB. Still I would rate it 10 and really great ending for Star Wars Saga. This movie represents the beginng of Star Wars fandom to me and so it's very imporant to me.
My Star Wars Saga list in order:
1.The Empire Strikes Back 10+ 2.Return Of The Jedi 10 3.A New Hope 10 4.Revenge Of The Sith 9 5.The Phantom Menace 7 6.Attack Of The Clones 6

I would have to rate Return Of The Jedi number one on my list only because in the movie Vader was conflicted with obeying his master and the love of his son. It gave Darth Vader a human quality that we all know was there and kills has master to come back to light side of the Force.
So anyway ---- lol hehehehehe

I have never rated Jedi as one of my favourites from the whole saga but theres plenty of stuff in the movie i love. Luke on the Sailbarge signalling R2 is a classic piece of cinema, pure swashbuckling style Errol Flynn would be proud of! Ewoks didnt bother me that much either but there was just something that Jedi was lacking that New Hope and Empire had.
I can only think of one thing it might be down to and thats that i think Jedi was more lighter in dark content compared to with New Hope and Empire.. Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen killed by Stormtroopers, The Ugly scenes in the cantina, The destruction of Alderann, the menacing presence of Vader.. Empire was all about defeat and facing fears with the good guys loosing.. Jedi seemed to light hearted compared to the first 2 to me..
Still a great film with some amazing scenes just didnt lack the vibe of the first 2 for me..
7 from me outta 10.

I also love the Ewoks. The whole Father/Son story was the best concept of the movie.
