Thanks for all the input guys! I think that the Anakin is actually pretty easy to deal with so far. It's a lot more balanced than I thought it would be. I might just go ahead with the ultra conversion with a red Lux.
I might get an Obi-Wan, or a Luke ROTJ if I can get my hands on them, and have them converted. I noticed that the LUKE ROTJ and the Obi-wan are pretty much the same hilt, with a few differences here and there.
When looking at my brother's mace, I noted the switch placement... boy that is inconvenient eh?
I was also looking at the Darth Maul full saber. I kind of like that one A LOT! But, is it held together in the middle by a coupler? Or does it screw together at the battery retainers? It's kind of hard to tell from some of the small photos at the MR site and even other sites that I have seen so far.

[glow=orange,2,300]I own the Luke ROTJ FFX and it it the easist to spin. And I wish it was a yellow blade though but with Luke's hilt. Too bad I can't afford it just yet. I picked up a second job so that money can go towards my sabers.[/glow]

The Darth Maul when it's a single saber has battle damaged end caps that hold the battery compartment inside the hilt. To convert two single Mauls into a full saberstaff the two end caps are replaced with a single coupler. During combat you cannot just unscrew the coupler and fight with two singles, you have to put one of the battle damaged end caps back on to hold the batteries in which takes too much time to switch back and forth from singles to full during a duel. p.s. The sound comes out of 24 holes in the coupler so as long as you don't cover up the coupler you have sound.

I was unaware of that Red Five. I was thinking of getting a Maul, but I was under the assumption that you could just take it apart quickly and use two sabers. I think I just changed my mind....

It's not a an easy one handed task.

Well as far as dueling, I'd have to work up to a double. Thanks for the info on the coupler for the Maul saber staff though. I still want one pretty badly, but I think I'll stick to dueling with single or dual sabers for now.
Unfortunately, I found out that my Anakin is the first ROTS version, so I may still use the conversion kit to make it a Red lux, but it would be a wall-hanger.
Question: Can the "plastic" Anakin still be upgraded? Ultrasabers does not recommend it for their kit.
Instead, I picked up the ESB Vader on sale at my local Spencer's, and I fell in much LUST with it. It may be getting Ultra's polished emitter shroud and TCSS Lux conversion since Tim uses the aluminum blade holder in his kits.
The weight of the Vader ESB is more my style. It's quite a bit heavier than my Anakin, and the balance point seems to be a little closer to the pommel. It feels more substantial, and like it could pack quite a wallop!
After looking at the Graflex kits available...I may just go ahead and turn Pappy's old flash unit into a saber as well, but I gotta get those credits first...

I would just stick with the Luke ROTJ, I used to own one converted with a Aluminum blade holder and a TCSS blade for maximum performance, That saber can in deed take a huge beating and still hold together nicely as well as light weight.

Mace's activator switch tends to turn on/off when you don't mean it to, and it's heavier than all the others, but is otherwise quite easy on the hands to use. Obi-Wan's is the best in my opinion. not too much going on with it, not heavy, and it's got enough on the hilt to keep it from flying all over the place. i agree COMPLETELY

id say either the Obi ROTS or the luke ROTJ because there pretty much the same thing for hilts it just depends on it you want green or blue blade but the hilts are nice and slim with a lower activation switch

I know that with the electronics and blade it isn't really possible, but I have small hands and I can only just barely wrap my thumb and index finger around the hilt of the Obi Wan. As a result, when I'm doing saber spins, it is somewhat easy for the saber to slip out of my hand. Other than that, I do like the Obi Wan. It feels really substantial in my hands without seeming cumbersome, and I like that the activation switch is out of the way.
