I've got the Anakin on pre-order and waiting for it to be sent out at the end of the month! These are really awesome figures! Sideshow did a Dark Side Anakin for ComicCon and melted a server with all of the pre-orders that were coming in when in went on sale.

I think I was up-to-date with most of the older POTF ones, before Epi I. I stopped collecting toys after Epi I was released, for the most part. Didn't like most of the "new" characters.
I've got a bunch of POTF ones, and earlier, though.

I placed my order within minutes; for the first time ever. the inclusion maul was easy too. i like that. no hassle worrying about whether i'll get one or not.

I pre ordered a Mace Windu 12 inch. The detail on the face is incredible. yeah; the sideshow stuff is cool. and, unlike dc direct, it's almost reasonably priced; and full of accessories, and highly detailed. by any chance have you sprung for the premium formats yet?

Can I ask? How much are 12 inch figures generally worth? Like for example a few months back I saw a 12 inch padme from phantom menace, wearing her official princess attire, at a pawn shop, and it was priced at $20 (australian), which is roughly around $12 US....and I wish I had bought it, but i didn't have my purse on me at the time...was $20 a bargain?

I've started collecting the Sideshow stuff. The 12" figures are ok, and appear to be getting better. Luke is pretty good, and a lot better in hand than in picture. The Anakin's I'm not impressed with at all. Esp. the Comic Con Darth Vader Anakin. The advertised "Sith eyes" just were not as good as the prototype showed them to be. Kit Fisto is awesome. Having seen the rest at Comic Con, I have to admit, the upcoming one's look awesome. Mace Windu is the best. Maul will be great too. One odd one for me is the Jabba. I hate that ugly slug creature. It's gross. But, Sideshow did a phenominal job on that. I'll be way disappointed if the actual figure is not the same as what they displayed. I'm liking the premium format figures the best. Ben Kenobi is the best. Darth Vader is the coolest, with the lightup chest piece and lightsaber. The two together make a great "Final Duel" scene. Esp with the lightsabers lit up. Luke, again, is the goofiest, in my opinion, as his fingers were freakishly long. And, I just received my Grievous one today. I must say, I'm pretty pleased with that one. Unfortunately, I dont have the money and space for their 1:1 busts. Even the Greedo looks awesome. But, the Maul one steals the show.

holy crap those r cool. do they make an r2? ;D Not yet. Although, I am expecting a Droids line soon. What they are making is a life size R2 and C3PO. I'll bet some expense there.

I think you were lucky to not have your purse. If it's the Hasbro Barbie type dolls, that come in an orangish box, they barely sell for $1 USD on ebay. I cant say I have seen them sell for over $5 USD. If you liked it, do an ebay search. You should find several styles, and get them fairly cheap.
