I have some questions about the game before I start to play.
1. How hard is it to become a jedi?
2. How do you go about becoming a Jedi?
3. How many people are playing it from here?
4. Is the game worth buying(is it a long term thing or does it get old quick?)
If you could help me with this I would be grateful. Thanks

Is the game worth buying(is it a long term thing or does it get old quick?) If you could help me with this I would be grateful. Thanks To question one:Not really hard. You can choose Jedi when you create a character. In the time through when the game first launched and and the NGE,you had to unlock the Jedi Profession. You did this by doing a bunch of things,it was different for each character. If you had unlocked Jedi,it would say something about you glow with the force.I never got to that point,I only got to the one under it,"You feel a surge of the Force within you".If you were one that was glowing with the force,an Old Man would come to you and start you on your journey. To question two:You first start out as a Force Initiate, with a Training Robe and a Training Polearm. You also have a couple of skills to help in Combat. You grow stronger by leveling up,starting at level 1 and growing to level 90,the highest level. As you progress, you gain stronger Jedi abilities and and close to 30,you get the first rank of Force Lightning...and close to 40,you get your first Lightsaber. But don't worry,if you want to get rid of the Training Polearm, there's Swords you can use.Oh and throughout your journey, you also gain different Stances, somehwta like in KOTOR. To question three:Last I read about 80% of the people who were playing before the NGE are still playing. To question four:No,it is alot of fun throughout leveling. You get to go to all the different Planets (Corellia,Tatooine,Naboo,Talus,Rori,Dantooine,Lok,Dathomir,Endor,Yavin IV,Kashyyyk and Mustafar). You can aslo join up with either the Alliance or the Empire and gain Faction Points to get Armor and Bases and such. Also, you can either choose Alliance,Freelance or Imperial and go into Space and fly X-wings,Y-wings,TIE Fighters ect.....if you master Freelance, you can fly a YT-1300.You would have alot of fun playing it. If you start playing and ever need me,I am on the Eclipse Server, name is Rolet Sagwiwie.I can help you, level 83 Bounty Hunter here.

I played at launch, things were quite different then. Had a lot of fun with it. I tried the 14 day trial when the NGE launched, and I wasn't overly impressed, but other people seem to like it quite a bit. At any rate, I'm thinking about going back myself soon providing I can track down a copy of Trials of Obi-Wan by itself.

I thought you still had to earn the rank of Jedi. When I start playing I will look you up. Thanks again.

Your best bet might be the Digital Download.,That's how I got Rage of the Wookiees and Trials of Obi-Wan

I wanted to start playing galaxies again too. I have the orginal version, so I have to sit through that long download to get the new version. Sadly though, the only expansion I have is jump to lightspeed which dosent work anymore, so I have to go hunt down rage of the wookies and trails of obiwan which im not to happy about.
Thinking about trails of obi wan. Isnt it true that mustafar is no place for people just starting out?

Yes,Mustafar is not for the newbies, lowest levels are in the 60's.
HK-47,who you kill for the YT-2400,is level 90,and a few NPC's you kill in quests are above 90.One of which I cannot remember the name, but that one is 94.

Well Jump to Lightspeed is free now anyways, that's part of what you'll be downloading. I haven't quite made up my mind yet, but I think I'll likely be playing again by summer unless something changes my mind. Have to give Phantasy Star Universe a good run first : ) .
