Nice tut,its smiler to my old photoshop method,but it verys slightly. Excellent results though. Can`t wait to see the blaster tutorial. BIG welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the warm welcome... I have a film in the works called Jedi Jim's Lightsaber shack. its a remake of this old film you can find here: s89660268.onlinehome.us/blazingbolt/films.htmlAnyway I begin filming the special edition tomorrow and as soon as I get some footage captured I am going to make another tutorial for rotoscoping using this method with a film strip file and I will also begin work on a blaster tutorial... Later on I may make some more tutorials for rotoscoping in ULEAD and maybe some other special fx things that I have done.

I've done a lot of Photoshop fx for lightsabers. I have one that just kicks butt, looks great but takes a lot of steps. (So many that I had to record an action script for it) but now I can't really remember the steps. Your tutorial and way of doing this is really the best I've ever come across.
