I made a clearer pulse using 12 frames instead of 6. Here is the comparison: 1st one: 6 frames. Standard. 2nd one: 12 frames

Instead of making 12 frames why dont u just slow the time delay even further?

Instead of making 12 frames why dont u just slow the time delay even further? That works, but it doesn't look as good. It gives off a more noticeable pause between frames as you slow it down. If you use more frames at the same speed, it looks better since it still moves. Just my opinion. I usually only use 3 to 4 layers in mine anyway.

Personally, I don't really like the pulse effect, since Lightsaber's have more of a flicker.

I recommend watching the tutorial video that Kit posted in the first post, Ragoon. Its really quite simple.

Personally, I don't really like the pulse effect, since Lightsaber's have more of a flicker. Well untill someone finds a technique (that is actually decent) and makes a tutorial, that creates the illusion of a flicker, we are kind stuck with the current pulse method.

It's called After Effects. Then Premiere. Then converting it to a moving .gif.

You can do the flicker in Photoshop CS3 (and probably Imageready CS2) as well.

Yeah. I've tested around with it, but haven't done anything with it lately.

I like how the light actually changes in the background, making it almost real.
