Well, I just bought this photo editor software that says it can do pretty much the same thing that Photoshop could. It's called "Compare Photo", And it didn't burn a hole through my pocket buying it either. Now, sadly...the darn thing didn't bring any instructions. And since I forgot how to make lightsabers, I went back and followed the youtube video (made by force-fx). Amazingly, it worked. Obviously not the same as photoshop, looks to huge and the glow is wrong. Also, apparently compare photo has no "lens flare" for the hilt of the blade. So! I had to improvise with something called "Supernova" I'll be posting my finished pics here, as soon as I get my comp back. But till then, I was just wondering if anyone else out there knows what I have? lol And if you have any tips and tricks for me. ((btw: In photoshop, can one make pics that look like force ghosts? Just wondering."

Actually, the program name that you've told us doesn't come up on Google. Who's the company that produced it?
And yes, it is very possible to make Force Ghosts through photshop, I've done so, though rarely.

I've never heard of Compare Photo, but I have made one force ghost with Photoshop. I can only get it to work if I cut out a separate image, and put it on a different background.
I just colored it greenish blue and made it see through, then duplicated the layer and added a little outer glow to one of the layers. Then I duplicated the background and merged each of the 2 force ghost images into the 2 backgrounds and put them in an animation. It looks okay I guess.
Still working on it though.

And yes, it is very possible to make Force Ghosts through photshop, I've done so, though rarely. The program was developed by "CompareSoft". The full title of it is "ComparePhoto: The Digital Imaging Solution". That's good to hear by the way. Is it possible for you, or anyone else, to make a tutorial on how to do Force Ghosts? At least now I know that I can use photoshop tutorials to make things with compare photo. It just takes a bit longer to do, that's all. ***** Well, here's a few creations I have done so far with compare photo. As you can see in the first, its not a "lens flair". It's called "supernova". Hell to put on my btw, you can't move it around after you place it. So its sort like "trial & Error". [glow=blue,2,300]1)[/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]2)[/glow]

Not bad. The 'supernova' in Marishka's hand is very interesting. As for Force Ghosts, this is a pretty good one. There are simpler ones, I might be able to make one eventually, don't really have a lot of time right now.

Force Ghosts are possible to make in Photoshop. I've never really thought about it, but here's my first try at it using two different pictures:

They are pretty easy if you think about it. I basically used the same method as the tutorial that Garyn posted does.

Well, I tried making a force ghost.. and I failed horribly. I don't think my program can do it. Or maybe the instructions are not going well. Either way, I'll just wait for a proper *video* tutorial. I found out that a lot of the names in photoshop are switched in comparephoto. Takes a lot of figuring out which is which. Oh well maybe once I finish with my poster, I'll ask someone here if they could do a force ghost. Thanks anyways, everyone. I'm still testing comparephoto for other things it can do. Till then, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh! Before I forget. I made this... It's suppose to be a pulsing Nether (Netherworld) Stone. ((Not exactly a Force stone)) It's from an RPG SL I'm working on in myspace. lol Took me four hours just to do that. xP lol Cheers,

Thats odd, you're actually tinting the whole picture when it flashes. Slightly, but it still shouldn't do that unless you intended it to.
And I can do reasonable Force Ghosts, Ti-El Terrel can do them well (has a request thread somewhere in here). I don't know how active he'll be with it though.

But no matter what I do with comparephoto, it still does the same thing. I beginning to regret buying the bloody program. I miss photoshop. But thank you,

That tinting thing is looks better when you speed it up, kinda like the pulsing flash where it is at its brightest part on the sabers. Sort of like the candle light effect. And Im throwing in my Ghost just for the fun.
