the 30th anniversary luke anh is already out. they shipped the first batch about two months ago and they sold quickly; more are shipping in september.
there will be a steady supply of them available from september until march29, 2008.
after that, MR will be out of the lightsaber business for good. they will not be making them without the star wars name.
and there's no plans for a 30th anniversry luke ESB in 3 years time, either. the luke ESB FX was made in 2003, and they're not going to make it again.
the luke ANH "30th anniversary" FX will be the last one ever produced by master replicas.

I use E^2 titanium in my maul.. but the E^2 lithium will last a lot longer. they supposedly last "7x longer" than normal energizers. (they'd better. they cost about 3x more than a "normal" battery) so yeah. the lithiums are really expensive, but you'll notice a huge difference in how long they last. -=======- basically, what you want in a battery, is steady constant power right until the "die" . you want the Full Power Output, right to the bitter end. you DON"T want a batttery that dies slowly, and "dims" gradually as it dies, like most alkalines (and ALL rechargeables). the E^2 energizers (and/or "ultra" duracell) are advertised for "digital devices"; these are the ones designed not to "dim" as they die. they're designed to deliver steady current right to the bitter end. so to speak. long story short: the duracell ultra / E2 titanium are the ones you want ; the important thing is a strong steady current which doesn't "dim" as it dies. E2"lithium" will do the same job ..AND.. they will last ~7x longer than a normal battery (heh). so E2 lithium are even better. but ONLY because they last longer; NOT because they deliver more current. if that makes any sense. (the E2 titanium and/or duracell ultra will (also) deliver the strong steady current that you want for your Maul; so technically, they're "just as good", for our purposes, even if the Lithiums "last longer")

I am wanting to buy rechargeables for my sabers,
what kind has everyone had the best experience with?
I am looking for rechargeables cuz i really am tired of the constant battery purchase.

Ok, I recently got a broken Force FX off of ebay for fairly cheap. It only needs the battery pack. Do any of you guys know where I can get one? I was planning on getting the pack then having it converted by ultra sabers.
Thanks ahead in advance! It's my first saber and I am pretty anxious to get on the saber train.
