'elo again mates.. After owning 3 force fx lightsaber I've decided to add a 1:1 LE to my collection..I am planning to order my first MR 1:1 LE Lightsaber and I have ANH Luke on mind.. But there is this problem: Because of the custom regulations in our country (Turkey).. if you order anything above 100 dollars or euros from ebay you must pay %30 of the cost as a tax to Turkish customs.. so I want the seller to state the price below 100 dollar in invoice... as far as I heard TOYNK Toys Costumes and Gifts send without any problems on INTERNATIONAL shippings... is there any seller or store you can suggest for international shippings beside TOYNK Toys.. ? Thank you... and may the force be with you in the new year...

I bought a few things on e-bay before and most of the people seemed to be on the up and up.

This is the problom with international shipping and you can understand why store like Toys R Us etc do not ship internationally, it's all down to the cost of shipping an item.
As a shop, we are on eBay too, I make sure people understand in our "About Me" section that there will be VAT/Duty costs which the customer is solely responsible for.
I think it's shocking how high some of these VAT/Duty charges can be..
Like here in England, for example, purchasing something for myself from America, whether it be from Entertainment Earth or StarWarsShop.com, I have to pay 17.5% VAT, pay Duty and then pay Fed Ex fees.. However, it is basically, the government penalising me for shopping in another country. And I'm like, well if the Government didn't charge 17.5% VAT then the same item would be cheaper for me to purchase in the UK! Why should I pay £50 for something that I can get for under £25 buying it from another country?
Another example is, me as a customer, being penalised for buying something in from another country simply because the manufacturer, in my case, Hasbro, making something not available in the UK! So why should I be penalised for that? It's beyond my control if Hasbro decides to make something only availble to a USA shop etc. Government doesn't seem to get that!
My argument with Hasbro is, yeah, make something exclusive to a store, there's no harm in that, but at least have the brains to make it exclusive to a store in other countries as well. If you have a Toys R Us exclusive in America, most often, that same item is not made exclusive to Toys R Us in the UK! And like Wal*Mart exclusives, Hasbro and Wal*Mart could very easily make the item exclusive to ASDA in the UK seeing as Wal*Mart owns it now!
So what's the harm in doing that? Why not make it available to another store in other countries? Are Hasbro really stupid enough to limit the potential of an item because they will only allow one store in one coutnry to sell it? That doesn't make good business sense to me!
And because of things just like that, people have to buy outside their country where they face VAT and Duty bills, as wlel as high shipping costs because it gets more expensive to ship via Airmail with the high cost of fuel now, again, governments!!
I wish my eBay store would have more customers from places like America, Australia, New Zealand, but for me to ship to them, it costs me a lot of money, which I have to charge my customer what the Postal Services is charging me, and in a lot of cases, it's extortionate what the Postal Services charges!
I do get customers from Mainland Europe which is great, and I'm one of the most fair on eBay for shipping to Europe. Where a lot charge £4.00 for one action figure, I charge the minimum rate possible including the price of the box, which I charge the customer for a box what I pay for it, plus an extra 30 to cover cost of labels, bubble wrap, tape etc.. All this stuff costs me money so I can't give it away for free!
Some people won't ship to some countries because of the sheer cost and what they'll have to charge the customer. One of my competitors on eBay is charging £15.00 shipping for the Elite Forces complete 2 box set to Europe!! £15.00!! I'm doing it for £7.95 which is the lowest I can do it withou incuring any losses! Only reason he is charging double what I am is because he offers FREE shipping within the UK and is expecting the European customers to cover the cost! Ouch!! That's nasty! One of my competitors is charging £7.00 within the UK, when I'm doing it for £4.95!! Some people are just ripping folk off and taking advantage of collectors and fans..
Still, the whole thing is disgusting. VAT/Duty, Shipping costs, all set prices which you know will increase. A postal service will raise air mail prices the more fuel duty goes up. It's a vicious circle..
