[shadow=green,left,300][glow=black,2,300]i just got my luke ROTJ in the mail today and it has little shady spots on the blade like maybe an LED is out or something. Did any of yours come like that? is that normal(dont think so)?so does anyone have any ideas about the blade. how big would they be if an LED was broken? please let me know if i should send it back. either by posting or Pm. or myspace.com/wisemanms07[/glow][/shadow]

If it is a series of dark stripes or rings up the blade then that is 100% normal.
The way we perceive green with our eye makes this happen. Notice in the Anakin(blue) you dont get this effect, but i the Vader (red) you will notice it as well, but not nearly as bad as the luke.
So in short, it is normal.
If an LED was you would know, there would be one large black spot in the middle of your blade

If you can, post a picture of it as well, which would be the easiest way to determine - for the time being - if a LED is popped.

Here: www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?board=20.0I am a moderator at the site along with our admin Kit. You'll see this is a board from that forum dedicated to Luke reviews. The 2003 model is a different animal altogether so skip over those, but you will find reviews, pics, and videos. You will also see many do discuss the dark spots on the blade when lit up. It is normal and some of them will give you an understanding why.

My Luke has the same problem, however it is only really noticable in a light environment, at night you can barely see it. The LED must be loose, because if I stress the blade just a little, the light comes back on.
There isn't any dark ring as such.
Plus I had my first fumble with it last week which probably didn't help much!
