both my obi wan and mace windu lightsabers have this same problem, every like 15secs or soemthing they turn on and then turn off and then turn on really fast constantly, it happens for both sabers and it mostly happens when i hit it, if i hit the saber really hard or even a regular hit it does it, its for both the sabers ad some ppl say to check for battery leaks and then change batterys, well ive done that and none of them helped, also every once and a while my obi wan saber will randomly turn off the sound and then if i try to turn it off it wont work. WUT WRONG WIT MY SABERS!

regular duracell batterys, and yesterday i changed them to new ones, and the ligthsber went completly crazy, i was turning off and on crazy, and i tried to turn it off, but it turned off and then turned on again, so then i left the switch down, but it was stil on, so i opened the battery pack when it was still lit, and put it back and it lit up again, and eventually it turns off, then i picked it up when it was off, and then when i touched it turned back on!

take out the battery pack, look inside the hilt, and you'll see three silver contact posts which make contact with 3 matching sockets on the the battery pack. the posts inside the hilt are on springs; sometimes one of them gets stuck and it causes intermittent contact with the other two. --> push the contact posts in and out a few times GENTLY with your finger or the eraser-end of a pencil. make sure they move freely. also make sure they are clean. (if necessary, clean them with 70% rubbing alcohol on the end of a 'damp' Qtip (read:"damp" NOT "dripping")<--(!) (also make sure those 3 matching sockets on the battery pack are also clean, and make sure they are not obstructed by excess plastic) also there's been reports of problems with the duracell batteries not making contact within the battery pack itself, because the plastic holding the positive contact plate in the battery pack is too thick for the "nipple" *of the battery to reach it and make contact. the energizers have a longer / thinner "nipple" * on the positive terminal which makes better contact; duracell's have a shallow, fatter terminal, which doesn't always make contact inside the battery pack. * (technical term) -->try the energizers because the shape of the positive terminal is slightly different and the energizers tend to make better contact inside the battery pack. -===- hope this makes sense helps. cheers.

DONT DO THIS UNLESS U ARE GOOD WITH TOOLS AND ELECTRONICS!!!!!! Take the battery pack out and try unscrewing the compartment underneath the battery pack. The Mace ROTS has screws in it and I unscrewed the one on my Mace and it did not damage the saber. Fiddle around and try cleaning the wires or rerouting them and it should work. Or just change the batteries lol!!!!
