Well back in the days of the Old Republic, I wielded a lightsaber that lasted me 3 years into the onsets of the Clone Wars. With its design of Graflex to my Djem So technique, it proved to be a worthy ally.
The Story:
On christmas morning i ran downstairs to open all off my gifts. I knew i wouldn't get an anakin, even though i asked for it. I was all done when my father brought in a box shaped like th MR FX box. I opened it up and looked inside to see my Anakin AOTC hasbro saber. (my dad sneaked it in) Then he brought in the real surprise. My Anakin ROTS Force FX lightsaber. I took it out of the clear plastic bag which accompinies all FX sabers and popped in my 3 energizer Max batteries to see a bright blue blade and wonderful, loud and crisp sounds.
The bad part:
I dueled with it 1 once (not knowing u shouldnt) and hit my cieling a couple times. Then 2 LED's started blinking near the top. I returned it to Best Buy from where my dad had originaly bought it. Then i went home with another Anakin. I dueled with that one twice(lightly) and it has still lasted me to this day.
This Day:
it has been 8 months since i have had my Anakin, and it is still working and my favorite. I have also grown my empire of sabers into 4. (Mace ROTS, Vader ESB, and Luke ROTJ also added). I love the overall look of the saber. Especially the hilt. It is sturdy and is the closest to size and resemblence to the LE.
The control box has a lazer etched design in it. The switch on the left is the on/off switch. push it up to turn it on, and down to turn it off. The gold will eventually fade if touched by human hands enough. I use my shirt to turn it on. The copper on the buttons in the above pictures will eventually fade too. one mistake by MR.
The sound:
The sound is incredible. It is loud and crisp. The clash sounds still make me want to cpver my ears. There a short swing sound, a long swing sound, and a double-swing sound for movement. The clashes are a laser bullet hit, then a low pitched noise, a laser bullet hit, and a crakle, a loud pithced hiss, and a regular hit(i dont know how to put it)
The blade:
The blade is very briight. Not as bright as the Luke ESB, but bright enough. There are some "splotches" showing the gaps between lED's, but these go away with usage and good batteries. My Anakin also doesnt have the dreaded "dark spot" in it to show where there is an attchment between the strip of LED's. The on/off effect makes the blade #1.
(srry for smallness)
All-in-All:
The Anakin is an awesome FX. Good for beginers. I highly reccmend it to all. I hope my Ani will last me for a long time.
hilt: 10/10
blade: 9/10
sound:9/10
weight: 8/10
My vote: 9/10
