Here is the long awaited and first Master Replicas Yoda Force Fx video to hit the Internet Force-fx.com has again been the first to bring the world video of Masterreplicas newest Force Fx lightsaber. Review When my Yoda Fx came I was surprised that the box was full size, that was my first impression. They just added more foam to the ends..(same wall stand too) As I opened I liked the new box design, and the Adverts for the other 2007 Force Fx inside the box lineing.. When I finally open it up and held it ,I was surprised how good it felt in my hand for such a small size.. *Specs* The saber is just under 34 inches total The blade is 26 1/2 inches The Hilt is 7inches (8 inches if you count the emitter cuff)I originally was little yet down when MR announced the Yoda last year.( I wanted a Oui-Gon) I am all about the martial arts aspect of lightsaber and saber spins, and I though it would be useless for spins. But I was wrong, once you get use to it it spins just fine.. It`s a nice change up,I plan to get another Yoda for duel saber spins,no more scraping the room in my apt hehe.. Well the hilt feels Really sold and the craftsmanship it superb, looks like a LE hilt to me.. The blade is skinner then all the other Force Fx but they still somehow managed to cram all 64 leds into it.. Its takes 3 AAA battery's just like the Darth Maul Speaking of the green LEDS,the are SUPER bright, this is the brightest saber MR has produced, and it don`t stop there, its also the LOUDEST.. The blade also seems SUPER strong ,even though its skinny,it really can take a beating. The blade is SOLID green, not a dark spot in sight, and at a little over 2 feet the Yoda makes for a great shoto saber. The motion detections of the saber swings are the best yet of any MR saber,it is very on point. MR has expanded the electronics very well.. The sounds are the same Jedi sounds as all there other Jedi sabers, just much louder, and due to the shape of the hilt it actually sounds a little different. It rocks the same Jedi sounds as the other MR Jedi FFx,but it sounds a little different to me,as you will see when you watch my video review compared to the Anakin and Luke Fx.. Don`t think this saber is just for your young lings because of its size,it is a fully functional Force Fx lightsaber we all will enjoy.. Some pics

heh, I see the yoda takes your interest too as well, it's not too small like I thought, but man it's the brightest fx I've seen so far from MR. Can't wait to see what the Luke ANH will look like once the time comes

You guys have no idea just how hard it was to do this video today. the forces of nature where against me.. First I had to go up to my managements office 3 different time,as there where not there, showing apartments or something.. The I finally get the Yoda and I was out of mini dv tapes. So once I get the tapes and start recording, but my cam keeps stopping and eating my tape .. Then I finally get all the footage and my cam wont play any more, all it will do it eat tapes.. So I let the can rest for about 30 min and try it again. First it ate the tape again, but then it started playin back.. So I run to my pc to capture the video and right b4 the video ends the battery goes dead and I have to capture it again.. Well It took me 4 trys to capture it,my Pc blue screened 3 times.. Then finally I got all the footage in my pc and go to arrange the time line and it keeps freezing up.. Well 3 blue screens and 6 pc spontaneous reboots I finally got it.. I have to latterly save every step it was crashing so much.. I don`y know how I'm going to film my combat trials video,my Dv cam is on its last leg.. I might have to hurry up and sell my Yoda b4 MR gets um in stock to finance a new Mini Dv cam I can live without a Dv cam.. What a frigen day..

Wow! It's small, but it looks absolutely incredible! And the blade...I love the fact that it's not the same exact color as the Luke ROTJ. Since all 64 LEDs are in a smaller concentration, the Yoda must be not only the brightest but also the best evenly lit blade. As for spins, it's a perfect as a shoto. Wookieepedia even says so... "Master Yoda's lightsaber was small enough that it may actually have been technically classifiable as a shoto, though it was not used as such. A shoto was a lightsaber with a very short blade. Essentially its purpose was to counter attacks by an opponent's weapon while freeing the primary lightsaber for a return strike." starwars.wikia.com/wiki/ShotoYoda's lightsaber gives us a brand new style with which to fight. I think it's great for swordsmanship, and should help in creating more artistry in a duel and lead to a better choreographed fight scene. *Note: I know that a shoto is used under the lightsaber combat Niman/Jar'Kai. What I mean by new style is that we have a weapon that during close combat has more maneuverability, and it's use is really only for defense while regular duel combat the sabers can be easily alternated between attacking and defending. I think it will create more artistry in a duel because effectively using the shoto means blocking and setting up for the attack and not so much you just doing a lot of crazy attacks.

Wielders were required to become proficient in the lightsaber techniques of Niman or Jar'Kai in order to reduce risk of injury to themselves due to the increased dexterity needed to master the use of both blades simultaneouslyIndeed

The other day I was practicing the Double Figure 8 crossover spin with my ROTJ Lukes and I cracked myself so hard on the elbow that one of the hilts had cut me. Hit the funny bone at the same time too.
