Hey guys (and ladies) I want to buy Star Wars ep3 the game .. always did.. but I am wondering what this site has to say about it....... What did you think of it? If you liked it..... why? What did you enjoy? If you didn't like it..... why not? What threw you off? I'm not a huge gamer, I'm really picky.. so is there a way to explain your feelings on the game without confusing the heck out of people like me? LoL I have a few Questions too... 1. can anakin follow through with his plans? 2. is there interaction between characters.. like padme or scenes from the movie itself? 3. Is it easy to choose your path? 4. Can you be One character only? 5. Is it easy for someone to learn if they are not used to fighting games? Well anyway,I look forward to hearing what you all thought of the Game!! And if you have had it awhile now, do you ever go back to play it again? Lady Jade

I thought it was good, and I really enjoyed it, but it is just VERY short, and doesn't really have that much replay value. After playing against the computer in multiplayer mode for a week or so it becomes no challenge as the computer is SOOO easy to beat. Good game, but it needed fleshing out a bit more. They should have made it a bit more like "The Force Unleashed" and made unlockable costumes and stuff. It definately needed more characters and more substance to the multiplayer. While watching the making of the game on the OT Special Features DVD, they made it sound like it was gonna be amazing and groundbreaking, but to be honest if your not a Star Wars fan you will not enjoy it AT ALL, and will just get very frustrated at the in game computer boss battles (like General Grievous just doing the same move over and over and over and over again). If you LOVE Star Wars like I do, then you will like it, and find it very fun, but if your not a big fan of Star Wars you won't like it very much.
I gave it a 7.
As for your questions...
1. can anakin follow through with his plans?
There is an alternate ending if thats what you mean.
2. is there interaction between characters.. like padme or scenes from the movie itself?
Yes, but the scenes are elaborated and fleshed out into levels. The Mustafar one when Vader has to kill Gunray and the others is one of my fave levels.
3. Is it easy to choose your path?
You don't get to choose your path really, you play the story through to the end, and you either lose or win to Obi wan (I don't want to give too much away).
4. Can you be One character only?
You play as Obi or Anakin. You don't get to choose, you play Anakin's story alongside Obi's (unless you are playing the Game Boy Advance version, where you play through 2 seperate games, Obi's storyline and Anakin's).
5. Is it easy for someone to learn if they are not used to fighting games?
Its not a conventional fighting game, and its very easy and very short, you will just get annoyed at the computer doing the same moves over and over again.
I have had the game for about 3 years now and do play it occasionally, but "The Force Unleashed" on the PS2 is better. I say the PS2 version because you can play through the force unleashed as Anakin or Obi Wan when you unlock them.
The best fighting game out at the minute that is Star Wars related is Soul Calibur IV. Its 50 times better than the RotS multiplayer, plus you can play online. The only problem is that at the moment there are only 2 Star Wars characters per game. There is talk about bringing Vader to the 360 and Yoda to the PS3, and also of a few downloadable characters like Luke and Leia, but we will have to see how that pans out.
Hope that helped.
