Hello all. This is my first post here, what a great wealth of knowledge! I have a question regarding my Yoda SW-217 saber I just bought. I have read in some places that the clash sound effect is harder to trigger on this saber compared to others, and that there is a "break-in" period that the sensor has to go through. I have found that the saber is very unresponsive most of the time to trigger the clash sound, or needs to be struck pretty hard and at just the right impact to trigger. The other motion sensors and lighting/sound all works as expected. Total run time on the saber is probably getting close to half an hour. I am using Energizer batteries and the end cap is always tight. I have 2 other sabers, the newer blue luke and the construction set one. Both of these others sabers are very responsive to the clash sound trigger. I have read the FAQ guide that states there are differences in sensitivity between sabers. Is it likely that this Yoda saber is defective, or is this "normal"? Has anyone else experienced this with the Yoda saber, does the sensitivity actually improve over time? Thanks.

Greetings...
I actually bought two Yoda sabers - one for me and one for my nephew. I do find that I have to give them quite a whack in order to trigger the clash sounds, so you're not alone.
I can't comment on whether they get more sensitive over time, but I'm guessing because of the reduced size and weight of both the blade and hilt, it's normal that it would take more of an impact to trigger the sounds.
The most annoying thing is that the clash sounds on one of them are delayed by half a second or so...I don't know how to fix that, unless anyone has any ideas.
Cheers,
