This is by far the best Christmas present I have ever received...well, second best, since the best present I ever received was my dog, Fiona (October 07-November 08, RIP). Okay, sorry for the short rant/eulogy, back to the review. Anyways, aside from my dog, this is by far my favorite present. It quickly wormed it's way into my heart as my favorite lightsaber. It's pistol grip design is what won me over, and it's blade is brilliant. Anyways, here are the pros and cons of this wonderful piece of art from Ultrasabers:
Pros:
-Very inexpensive, only $49 (price increases with add-ons, you know the deal)
-Fairly light-weight
-Brilliant, bright blade
-Wonderful for dueling; very sturdy blade, like all Ultrasabers
-Perfect for people who want to practice Makashi and/or Djem-So
-It's pistol grip hilt makes it very unique
-Wonderful finish on the hilt
-Low profile activation switch, which means you won't accidentally switch it on and/or off
-Rubber pommel, very easy to take on and off for battery replacement
-Removable blade
Cons:
-Depending upon how they build it, getting the batteries in will be Hell. If you have to use double A's, then you're in for a bit of a rough ride (pliars help)
-The hilt feels like it's made out of plastic...which it probably is, but it just has a weird feel to it
-No sound effects (whooshing, clashing, or activation and deactivation)
-Spinning is a little bit difficult due to it's pistol grip design, but it just takes a bit of time to get used to it
-If you're crazy enough to use it inside (like I am, lol ;D), be careful. Since it has a pistol grip design, the blade comes in at odd angles. Be sure you're in a nice open space when you use it.
Anyways, since it's Christmas and I don't feel like thinking that much today, I'll leave the rest for you guys to judge. Before I go, here are some pictures of my pride and joy!
