you see, when a story like star wars is told, it's usually based on another story.gorge lucas was inspired by some book about religious storys , such as the yezidis ,jues , Buddhists and Hindus.if you research about yezidis you will find so much star wars things in it. such as "the great spirit" that all life comes from and goes to.and it is a energy that lives off all living things. it also binds the universe together and keeps the universe in balance. and how could i forget, the word "jedi" comes from the word "yezidi". and the yezidis are in a religious conflict with a religious group called the "sufi" or in the star wars universe "sith".the sufi also believe in the great spirit aka"the force", but they believe that the spirit is a life form that wants control over its creation and it wants it to follow his rules. Now lets come to the birth of anakin. the yezidis have a profit named sheik Adi who"has no mother or father" he was "created purely by the great spirit". you see, George lucas took the yezidis and added Christianity (meaning the birth of jesus) Judaism and other religions to make what we all know and love star wars. i hope i have answer your question about anakins birth. meaning anakin was created by the force. That was so -amjedi12588

Darth Plagueis the Wise (Sidious' master) actually had the ability to influence midi-chlorians. This meant "he could save the lives of those he cared about" as Sidious had told Anakin as well as create life. If Plagueis could create life by the Force that being would be the most powerful of all life. So it is speculated that Anakin was actually created by Plagueis to be used as the ultimate Sith weapon. Darth Plagueis was killed in his sleep by his apprentice Darth Sidious so we don't really know what Plagueis had in mind for Anakin. Had Plagueis lived he might have personally trained Anakin, and Anakin then would've taken Sidious' place. I am sure Sidious knew this, or at least was suspicious. so he killed his master and assumed his plans.

Well all in all, Anakins mother did not have any sexual contact. So we know that part. But maybe it was the Force itself, not anyone to help it, that created Anakin. Think about it, if a individual being can influence mid-clorians to create life by using the Force, imagine what the Force itself can do.

That's odd, they should have made Anakin have a father, or at least had a father at some point. It seems as if they copied the bible when Lucas wrote that part where Shmi gave birth to Anakin without a father. Didn't Mary give birth to Jesus without a male being involved also?

Yes, Mason, he was inspired by the virgin birth. He's stated so in interviews and whatnot.

I noticed. It's almost as if they based Star Wars off the bible in a way.
Shmi gave birth to Anakin due to the Force since Anakin was the so-called chosen one to bring balance to the force.
Mary gave birth to Jesus because he was the chosen one to be the son of God.

I think almost everything revolves around that. I guess Anakin is the Star Wars version of Jesus!

Lol, I think the force is supposed to be God in the Star Wars universe, but that's a touchy subject for a lot of people.

if people do some resurch on lucas's insparations for star wars, they will see most of it is religous text.such as "the chosen one of the prophesy".the force it's self is the god that the native americans, budists, hindus and shamans call the great spirit.the great spirit is the life force the surounds us binds us and keeps the univerce in balance. when you look at the battle between obi wan and anakin in mustafar, you could see it's based on the battle between lucifer and michael.when mickael defeats his brother lucifer and thows him into the fires of hell where he burns and loses his angalic apearance. the jedi and sith are based on the yezidi and sufi. and the birth of anakin is the same, created by the force, virgin birth thing.
