Yeah, that muppet is kinda creepy. I don't always like it when they change things though. Like when they put Hayden in ROTJ!
Kinda takes something away from it I think.

I have to disagree with you there, having Hayden in ROTJ really made the whole trilogy come together, otherwise they dont really seem to go together. I dont care what anyone says, Hayden Christianson is Anakin Skywalker, NOT Sebastian Shaw. The Computer Generated Yoda will look SOOO much better too. The Yoda muppet was SOOOO CRAP in Episode I. - Dark Anakin

Up until that point Yoda was just a puppet, and had never been CGI before, so I think they just thought they might as well use a puppet again, because it worked before, but then I think they decided to change it when they saw how crap the new Yoda was and they decided to try a CGI Yoda for Episode II and III.

When are we going to leave the movies alone. Leave them the way they were when they came out. Dang this is becoming ridiculous.

The new ones need the CGI Yoda so that it matches up with the others.

I liked the fact that Hayden is in the OT. I think that Lucas should do anything he can to improve the movies, the OT feel like completely different films to me, and they dont feel like the NT that much. Little things like adding Hayden to ROTJ and a CGI Yoda to TPM make the films go together a little more effectively.

They spent an enormous amount of time with George Lucas tweaking and refining the digital puppet and recreating scenes from ESB for practice. I believe this is found on the AotC DVD..... On the RotS DVD, when Hayden says "as a very wise man once said, fear-" and it cuts to the scene in Episode 1 in which Yoda gives the famous "fear leads to..." speech, that was a digital Yoda...

I love animated puppet Yoda. And I love the difference between him in the two different Trilogy of movies. I think they wanted to origianlly do him animated in Phantom, but the tech was'nt good enough yet. Just my thoughts.
