Hello.. I'm looking to buy over the ebay one mini replica lightsaber for a friend of mine. Now here's where the problem is. I tricked him into asking what would he choose if he were in store to buy force fx saber (vader or anakin ep3) he replied anakin because of the blue color and said that vader is bad in a good sense And here's the second problem, If somebody has bought editions like these could you please explain the differences? i wish to get him the best piece. Much appreciated ;D P.s. I'm also planning of getting myself one replica? Any suggestions which is good for starters? It would be my first, and I like anakin AOTC for its white crome

Mini replicas are way smaller and contain absolutely no electronics. They're replicas, after all, so the only thing they're really good for is collecting and since they're not made by Master Replicas anymore, they're getting a little expensive.
Differences between the Vader and the Anakin are mostly cosmetic. The switchbox is in a different position, the shroud is different and there's no lens/gold button underneath the hilt on the Vader hilt. If you wanna get him the best mini replica, personally I'd go for the Vader since there really is no blade color but it's really up to you.
I'd also like to point out that the Anakin AOTC doesn't have white chrome, it is, in fact, normal chrome. This saber is not only really rare and expensive, it's bigger than the other sabers in the Force FX line so I wouldn't look into buying one of these unless you're serious about starting a collection.
The best to start out with would have to be either the Obi-Wan ROTS saber or the Luke ANH/Anakin ROTS saber.

Uhm.. I think there may have been slight misunderstanding ;D I already ordered hasbro force fx obi-wan for my friend, so I wanted to buy him .45 scaled replica. I know that vader's and anakin's are way different, but I was looking it this way, if you would switch boxes would there be any differences? I mean, why does vader has this box and anakin that box xD thats the whole topic I think I'm not aiming for Anakin's force fx lightsaber for myself, rather .45 mini scaled replica I was supposed to buy him anakins force fx saber, but they were sold out. Somehow I think he'll be happy with Obi-wan's force fx lightsaber. So I though anakin's mini .45 scaled saber might please him. Now do you see the irony? Its hard to pick which .45 scaled to choose for him

Not sure I completely understand, but we'll see. The boxes are designed differently because they're not only different years, but they're based off of different movies. The Anakin is from, of course, ROTS whereas the Vader is from ANH. That's it, really. There's no exclusive special additions included with either version, it's just box art. With either one, you'll get the saber, a display stand and a certificate of authenticity. Well, since I like things to match, I'd personally go for an Obi-Wan ROTS .45 scale replica... But if you want to choose between the Vader and Anakin, the Anakin might match better than the Vader.
