I know that this has been asked before, but I am fascinated by... obsessed with finding them all...
there are references to George Lucas' first movie THX-1138 in every movie that has been made by him since. Here are some of them. Please add any more that you know of:
In Star Wars (A New Hope) the cell block in the Death Star that Leia is held in is cell block 1138.
In The Empire Strikes Back, General Rieekan says, "Send Rogues ten and eleven to station three-eight."
In Phantom Menace one of the battle droids that walks by when the Princess and others are being led out under arrest has 1138 stenciled on his back.
Also, In Phantom Menace, the first battle droid that jar jar pushes over is number 1138
In any case, 1138 makes its appearance in episode 2 when the film cuts back to Padme lying in the sands, having fallen out of the Republic assault ship in a previous scene. The markings in the sand, ostensibly made by her fall, make out the numbers 1 1 3 8. (open for interpretation)
The LED lights on the back of the clone trooper helmets all display a serial number. Although illegible, they ALL read "THX 1138".
In Episode II, When Count Dooku enters his ship as they are flying off, the droid pilot says 1138. (possibly gibberish)
One is in Star Wars. Luke says Chewy is from cell block 1138. When he is trying to get the princes.
1138 is printed on Boushh's helmet in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
Clone Trooper Commander Bacara of the Galactic Marines has the numbers "1138" as his clone registration number. The DVDs for Episodes I, II, and III all feature blooper reel Easter eggs when 1-1-38 is entered on the THX optimizer icon.
the scene where Mace Windu says "Pilot, land in that assembly area!" The pilot who responds with "Yes, sir," has the number visible on his helmet.
The battle droid that is shot down on the balcony in Utapau after Boga is riding throughout the city has "1138" in Aurebesh numerals on its backpack, in the same manner as a battle droid in Episode I.
