Hello,
I'm a big Star Wars fan and have always had a penchant for stormtroopers. I'm looking to get an armor set of my own worthy of approval by the 501st. I really don't know where to start, so any help in pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
I've found originalstormtrooper.com and jedi-robe.com, but $1500 - $2500 is more than I'd like to spend for my first set of armor. I've read the terms FX, GT, GF, TE, AP, referring to stormtrooper armor, but I don't have a clue.
I'm 6'2'', 160-170 lbs... tall and slim. I'm looking for armor that's close to screen accurate or whatever is popular in the 501st. I have no qualms about assembling a kit, since I'm pretty handy, though I wouldn't want a kit that needs to be painted all white, but I have no problem painting details on the helmet.
