It would be hard for me to pick a fav Sidious. I think that he is at his best in all of the movies. He had one VERY BIG plan that it just took 6 movies to tell about. I think that he knew that all of that stuff would take place and in the end just thought that he was powerful enough to change stuff that, as we all saw, he couldn't. I think that he knew that Vader would betray him and that Luke would never turn, but he thought that he could change it since he was so powerful in the darkside of the force. Betrayl is the way of the Sith. He killed his master, why would he not think that Vader would kill him.
Sorry bout that, just ranting.LOL
I like him as he is in all of the movies.

As cheesy as it sounds Sidious under estimated the power of Love. The way the Emperor encased Vader as he did all his possession. The galaxy,Nature,Everything. There was no end to Sidious's plan.He did seem angered that Luke didn't turn.He seemd vert confident he would fall.Remember what Sidious saw in ESB Vader says"You can destroy the emperor,He has foreseen this.We can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy,ANd rule the galaxy as Father and Son.

I prefer Sidious in ROTS, when he is first revealed and all his plans start to unfold. That was an amazing moment for me, watching him knight Anakin as Darth Vader. ROTS IS THE GREATEST FILM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe he is at his very best as VADER picks the little #$% up and throws him down the shaft. Loved the screaming. I love to watch that again and again and again and again...... and again... and... lol just kidding guys... [glow=red,2,300]A Vader fan should not answer this Question apparently[/glow]. wink. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh on Sidious. LADY JADE LIGHT

I liked him best in ROTS. His plans all come to fruition, after decades of patiently planning and plotting.
He has carefully maneuvered the emotional Anakin just where he wants him. In a position to where he has to depend on him, and thus, pledge himself to him.
He is at his best when he is scheming and plotting. Devising sinister plans and weaving complex schemes.
What a genius that man was.

I liked Sidious in RotS, especially when he was confronted by Yoda. He was cynical, sneering, powerful, and almost right!
Everything I liked about the Emperor in RotJ was there, particularly the way he spoke. I say he was almost right because he and Vader didn't destroy the Jedi... came close though.

No, I think he was right about that. When Obi Wan died, the last of the Jedi Knights died. When he came to Luke as a force ghost, for the last time he told him "Not the last of the old Jedi, Luke. The first of the new." As we know, force visions or prophecies can be correct, yet wrong at the same time. Joruus C'baoth (the mad clone of the original) once forsaw Mara Jade kneeling before him. Little did he know she was kneeling so she could spring forward and drive Luke's lightsaber into his chest LOL. So while the old Jedi and their traditions died with Obi Wan (and later yoda) the prophecy was true in a way. Even in ROTJ Luke was no where near the rank of Jedi Knight. His skills were untamed and he had minimal formal training. If anything, he was more a bastard padawan lol. In the books series, he still struggles to find history of the Jedi and teaching. He's not a "Jedi" in the traditional sense. But a "new" Jedi Knight. With new teachings and a new legacy to build. He has some older Jedi teachings and knowledge, but when training his students he often makes up his own lessons or teachings, because there is no other way since much of the old ways have been lost. So in a way Sidious was right. Vader and he did kill the Jedi off, and their formal teachings and heritage. But a new order rose up in their place, headed by Luke Skywalker and based on the Jedi of old and their teachings. I guess it all just depends on how you look at it
