Okay, I like Star Wars as much as the next guy. Okay, actually a lot more than the next guy, but whatever.
Was it a glitch in the movie... aka an ERROR in the scripting when, in ROTJ:
Leia confessed to Luke on Endor (in the Ewok village) that she remembered her mother, "She died when I was very young. She was very beautiful, but she was always... sad". Leia isn't talking about Padme, her mother... but why would this line be in the movie if it wasn't about Padme, as if it was about Bail Organa's wife, then it would be completely irrelevant.
So what do you think? Do you think that it was an error in the scripting, or what?
Just curious as to your thoughts.

Ive been thinking about this too, my take on it is that Lucas hadn't really decided on when Padme was gonna die when he made ROTJ. granted i could be way off but thats my bit
wouldn't it be great if Lucas had a site or something where ppl could ask him questions about the Star Wars universe? lol

if there was a site like that, George wouldn't answer the questions he wants people to be talking about SW over the water-cooler, because as long as SW is on people's minds... ....then he thinks that will make him more money. (heh) so he always left a lot of unanswered questions and loose ends in the story for that purpose. it prompts people to try and answer the questions themselves, and in so doing, they find themselves "discussing" SW long after the movie is over. so that SW itself remains on people's minds long after the hype has died down. its just a way of extending the life of the franchise and keeping people interested so they will buy more toys, (because), ultimately, the answers are irrelevant hehe (and the questions just lead you in circles. ROFL!) -========- and/or... Luke and Leia were in telepathic contact with their mother while still in the womb, by virtue of the fact that they are 'jedi children' with a high midichlorian count. they knew Padme's mind because they were "connected" to her. yeah. THATS the ticket! -=cheers=-

i think she refers to bail organas wife, because not often do you find an infant that can remember their birth .

...But Luke says "You're real mother". That's just confusing. Maybe Leia could see Padame in her dreams??? Much like Anakin saw his mother on AOTC, and Padmae on ROTS.

Well you got a point there Ramznation she could have but there is a problem with that. Padme was only sad during rots when she was told by Obi-Wan that anakin fell to the darkside.

at that point she probably did think that was her real mother, it doesnt say that bail told her she was adopted.

I have to watch ROTS again tonight since I can't remember this too well. Didn't Padmae look at Leia for a a few seconds before she died?

I thought so, I'll still watch that scene again tongiht when I get home. If so, it might back up my comment form August 5th. Thogh I can't say for sure that's the right answer, just a speculation.

i think she refers to bail organas wife, because not often do you find an infant that can remember their birth . I agree because you cleary see Bail Organa and his wife holding Leia at the end of ROTS. And if she was talking about Padme, how would you know that she always look....sad....when shes dead lol? -Darth Sephis
