Or maybe you just don't need gloves? Yeah. You probably don't need gloves to duel. It would be smart to use them if you don't want to get fingerprints all over your lightsaber.

Yeah, if you'd like your saber to still look new & cool.

bmx gloves work like a dream because they are made to increas grip and decreas iritation on your hands

i tried gloves for a video i did once. they were nice when i was doing slower type moves that required more grip due to less inertia keeping the blades where i wanted them, but when i sped things up, i tend to loose them more often. thank goodness for soft grass my personal opinion is to find something with a snug fit, nothing too loose. i had a pair of gloves catch in my Vader ESB switch casing and made me drop it

Dualing gloves are a flip sided coin. I'll tell you one thing though, after using the Maul, Vader, Luke, and Mace with a pair of gloves, they are nearly tattered, the gloves that is. Better them than your hands.

*places my hands around my neck as I feel you force choke me. I crush down on my teeth and then I reach my hand out at you and force push you back to let go of me. You finally did and then as I take a few breaths I grin at you and I then said, "You're so funny. I like playing around with you."*

i myself prefer no gloves but people have to take into account wether they have sweaty palms etc. you cant just go o ok i wont use em. you gotta try. if you absolutly need gloves though i would recommend paintball gloves, they cost from 15-45 a pair and if you really play paintball you cut the fingers off. then you have both the dry palm with the normal grip....woders i tell you wonders.

I have to say there's nothing like a good pair of gloves to help you feel the force flowing through you. Definitely helps in setting that "I'm one bad*** Jedi!" taking on the whole Galactic Empire feel. Although I do have to admit certain spins are harder with gloves, I generally prefer wearing them. Really it's whatever it takes to get you in that Star Wars feeling, for me it's an FX with gloves. Like I said it's harder with gloves for some spins, but if you've ever practiced sabers spins in the cold (40 degrees), then you have to agree gloves are needed protection for extended spin sessions and a must have for Maul's saberstaff with its extra knobs.
