Hi all, I was browsing through the threads and noticed that lightsaber combat can be utilized through the moves af a katana form. Being more interested in life than death I quickly turned to look at the bokken techniques. With swordfighting, a lot of it is anticipating what your opponent will do next. If you watch their eyes and shoulders, you can get a good idea where they will strike next. There are certain ways to block attacks, which you have to learn, but whenever you get that down, it's all about learning your opponent.
Edit: Good find by the way.

I say that lightsaber combat is very much like regular swordplay yet with a lightsaber,in theory, every point of contact would immediately cauterize the limb or area that it touches...though with a traditional sword of any design you would only be sliced in a traditional manner or stabbed....which both are quite damaging.
