Hey everyone! I was watching some television earlier, and I saw a commercial for a Star Wars weekend special thing. Starting Friday, Spike TV is going to air the prequel trilogy, including the world premiere of ROTS on Cabel television (Not including pay-per-view). I can't really remember the time it starts, but Friday will be the airing of TPM, Saturday is AOTC, and Sunday is ROTS. Just thought I'ld let everyone know

I'd be more excited if it were in HD. Otherwise I'll just watch it on DVD.

Honestly, I doubt that any of us really watched it. Despite us being big Star Wars fans, we all own the movies; therefore, why bother watching them at a scheduled time when you can slip the VHS or DVD in?
I might watch ROTS, though. That movie never gets old.

I disagree with Fet,,, Being the Age of 30 Ive been watching star wars for years. Ive lost count of how many times ive actually seen saga, but quite honestly it never gets old, AND theres nothing like flipping the channels on TV and finding star wars on Network Tv,,, it s a gem, and of course im gonna watch it. Whenever theres a movie that i really like on TV , even though i already own it in DVD form, i still watch it on a scheduled TV slot. Thats just me anyways....

I watched one of them too. It's a good way to pass time, but for me, it really wasn't a "MUST WATCH" situation since I can easily throw the VHS, or DVD in.

Personally, I am rather burnt out on all of the Star Wars movies and find myself to be a more EU kind of guy. I can quote all of the movies, therefore have no reason to watch them on TV when I can just place in the DVD like Mason said.
However, on the other hand. I am very glad to see that Star Wars is being played on network television. For those who don't own the movies, or aren't SW freaks, it kind of shows them that Star Wars is still out there, alive and kicking. Even after 30 years. It just forces the mainstream world to see that the movies live after all.
I mean, imagine some kid flicking channels in his room and coming across a Star Wars film for the first time. That could be the birth of a new generation of fan. It is important to put the movies out there like that even though they are done making them.
