[glow=red,8,300] Three Books In One: The Dark Lord Trilogy
January 28, 2008
Though they weren't originally released as a trilogy, the novels Labyrinth of Evil, Revenge of the Sith, and Dark Lord form a natural story arc that follows Anakin Skywalker's last days as hero of the galaxy and transformation into Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith. Now the movie adaption by Matt Stover and the two flanking tie-in novels by James Luceno are being combined into a trade paperback format that collects all the action, intrigue and drama of the three books into one. The Dark Lord Trilogy is due out in August from Del Rey Books.
I gotta get that book!!! [/glow]

I've read all three. The first is excellent, the other two are merely okay. I already own all three, though, so I'm not gonna buy the trilogy edition.

Finished Dark Lord the other day,and I also own a copy of Matthew Stover's ROTS book (although I've misplaced it),so it wouldn't be any good to me.

Hmmm. That sounds like a pretty cool little package. Too bad I already have all 3 novels or I would consider looking into it.
I'll give you the rundown on all 3 right now.
Labryinth of Evil: Excelent book. The best novel of all 3 in the Dark Lord series, although most of the action isn't focused around Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Revenge of the Sith: It is pretty much like the movie, but better in my opinion because you get a sense of what certain characters were thinking during pivitol scenes in the film. I would say it is second best of the three.
Dark Lord- Rise of Darth Vader: Although it is the least fascinating of the three novel package, it is still a verry good book and worth reading. There is not much action, and the fight scenes could have been much better. But it gives you a good idea of just how hard it was for Anakin to adjust to his new cyborg armor.
I say any real Darth Vader fan needs to read these books. Immediatley.
