It took me some convincing and begging but my wife finally consented to naming my son Anakin (born 3/22/07). I was just wondering how many of you out there have had this discussion and who won?

If I ever do have a son, I definitely plan to name him Ben Kenobi Collier. If I have twins (twins run in my family), they're Luke and Leia. Lord Brama actually named his son Mace I do believe, so there's one person.

Twin run in our family too so I she did agree that if we had boy/girl twins, we would name them Jana and Jacen (the Solo twins) but Anakin was hard to pull off.

If I had baby's and my husband wouldn't mind I would name one palpatine and one anakin. If i had girls they would be named leia and Trista.

My sister named her first kid Luke Sky Overly, her second was a girl and she got her husband to name her Padme' Miranda Overly. I think it's cool. They are both hardcore Star Wars Fans. As for me, i'm not there yet, but I woul like to name my boy Jango Fett Pickering, the girl would so totally have to be Jade **** ****.
(Couldn't think of a middle name and the last name would be the mother's.)

congrats on the new baby!!
I'm sure my oldest son would have probably been named Anakin if he had born 4 years later after the Ep1 had come out. I still call him my little padiwan but at 11 years old now he rolles his eyes at me and says "oh mom!"

Yea I am sure that my kids will either embrace their Star Wars gift, or shun it completely. I hope they embrace it. My little girl is 7 now and is starting to show promise. She drew me a pic of Vader for my birthday, she "tries" to sound like chewy, and she is now in love with my Lego Star Wars Game. She has been playing it for two weeks straight now. My son it is too early to tell. But he will see the wisdom in his name.

oh come on I wanna name him Palpatine Anakin and luke are to common and beside no one has named there kid Palapitine and i wanna be the first. Oh now Isound like a kid I just hope I don't name any of my kids Jar Jar lol.
