Does anyone know exactly what genre one would classify Classical/Baroque music modernized/remixed with electric guitars and or techno? An example would be some of the works by DJ Taka in Dance Dance Revolution, particularly A and AA (also noteworthy is M)? I'm fairly certain it's not rock opera, but I don't know where on earth to find any more of this niche type of music. Anyone know the name of the genre? A good album I could pick up loaded with this type of music? I apologize for my ignorance, I mostly only know underground hip-hop (Atmosphere, MF Doom, Brother Ali, etc) and have expanded my musical horizons over the past year, so any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry I had this in the general chat board eariler, I had it and Off-topic tabbed at the same time and thought I was posting in OT.

I have heard the term Baroque and Roll used a lot, but this more describes classical music played on electric guitar. Have you ever heard of a dude called Yngwie Malmsteen, he does classical music on the electric guitar. He annoys me because alll he does is shred, but you could check him out to see if you like him. If I find anything out I'll post on here.

Thanks a bunch man, that's a start, which is more than I had before by far. I'll look into both the artist and the term after classes are done for the day.

Cool, tell me if it helped, because I have to say I am quite interested to find out if it has an "official" name. Keep me posted of your research.
