I went to go see The Clone Wars tonight. I thought it was pretty good. The story was interesting and kept me captivated. The idea of a kidnapping is fresh to the Star Wars universe (with the exception of the whole Palpatine thing in the first clone wars cartoon) so that kept me on the edge of my seat. The dialogue, however, was a bit lack luster and definitely not up to par with the movies, novels or even some of the comic books. This is easily overlooked though, when you factor in the action. The action was awesome and over the top. There were very few scenes where nothing was going on. It was pretty nonstop through the whole thing. The Ventress/Kenobi fight was beautifully animated and almost as exhilarating to watch as the Maul/Kenobi/Qui Gon fight. The camera angles that they used in the action scenes were fantastic and very creative. All in all, I would say that if you are looking for it to be full of action and nothing else then you won’t be disappointed. However, if you are looking for it to be an unbelievable excellent story with deep undertones, then you may want wait and rent it when it comes out on DVD.
Over all on a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give it a 7

Ok. I wanted to see the movie twice before I posted my review on it. So here are my thoughts and comments on both times I viewed the film.
1st Viewing: My first impression of the new Star Wars film was exciting. After only about 5 minutes of watching the movie, it had my full interest right from the Battle of Christophsis. My first thoughts were on how well the graphics looked during the battle scenes. I got into the movie without it feeling too cartoonish. It had a live action vibe to it that I thought certainly upstaged the animated version of the Clone Wars. The battle scenes were phenomenal, especially the space ones. I loved them all. This movie was digitally perfect. It was better than I expected it to be by far. The first time I watched it I tended to keep my main focus on the primary story line. I thought the plot was very well done and creative, bringing something new to Star Wars. It also remained of true Star Wars nature rather than becoming too watered down and too much of a kids film. At the same time though, the SW terminology was toned down due to the balance they wanted to hold between pleasing huge Star wars fans like us, and the modern civilian who don't understand much about the true depth of the Star Wars galaxy. None the less, Star wars did exactly what they always do, and that is push the envelope in every aspect. By the end of the movie, I was already wanting more, and that got me excited about the new TV series coming out next to follow up the movie.
2nd Viewing: A couple of days after the movie had came out, I saw it a second time. This time intending to pay more attention to backround details. In doing so I was once again blown away by the digital perfection of the LucasArts crew. I mean... I could see the veins on the side of clone troopers faces, and the sweat on their foreheads. It continued to have a real life feel to it, even the second time I saw it in theaters. The detail they put into this film is amazing. I loved the Jedi Clone Wars Armor that Anakin and Obi-Wan wore, not to mention there was good use of the force in the movie. It wasn't too over the top like the animated series was. Nothing like Mace Windu destroying a legion of Super Battle Droids with his bare hands, then using the force to control a droid and fly on it or anything like that. The lightsaber fight scenes were great as well. Especially Ventress vs Kenobi, and Dooku vs Skywalker II. The tanks and warships were also up to par I thought. Giving us more of that Star Wars grit that I love so much. There was a lot of action in this movie. I hope to see it again before it is out of theaters.
I gave it an 8 over all.

I give this movie 10/10. It felt and looked like Star Wars and I was engrossed and completely enveloped in the story after the first 5 minutes. It is very easy to get carried away with the CGI abilities but it was just a perfect balance of plot and action scenes. When my friend told me it was utter crap I thought that I was in for a giant dissapointment, and then when I went to see it today (3 days after release in the best and most popular Cinema in my whole city) and there were only 4 other people in the theatre I really did expect it to be awful. I have never been in such an empty and desolate cinema in my life, but after watching it I was left feeling very confused about how anyone could call this film crap and why aren't people bothering to go see it. Out of all of my friends no one seems to care and no one has any plans to view it. I don't understand. It is geared towards ANY audience, whether just a casual Star Wars fan or a DIE HARD Star Wars fan, there is something in this film for everyone. I can't see how they could have made this any better without it being just a carbon copy of the Clone Wars anime. This film really did impress me, and I can't wait for the series.
If you havn't seen it and you are undecided, GO AND WATCH IT.............NOW!!!!!!!

There is a review that I really agree with somewhere. If I could find the link though... For one thing, the dialogue was so bad, it was pretty much insulting the EP1 dialogue (in all of its horribleness).

Action was good, but I was disappointed by it a lot. The Monster-Mash of many of the characters was annoying and in some parts, uncanon, it seemed as if they tried to shove as many in there as possible, and they still forgot General Grievous, one of the more important characters.
Also many things are conflicting with current EU canon material now.

I actually give it a 10/10 if it was any higher I'd give it a bazillion (not a word LOL). Though Grievous was not in it I really enjoyed all the clones and the humerous parts at that including with the droids and how they acted. Really good. I actually cant wait to start watching the T.V. series. WOOOHOOO!

I gave it an 8. It wasn't my favorite Star Wars movie, but still good.
It seemed a bit cheesy for a Star Wars film though, which is the reason I'm not giving it a 10/10.

Really loved it.Espessialy the lightsaber duels are great. But the thing that is disapointing to me that General Greivous is not in there. I was kind of ticked off he was on the clone wars 1,2 I think.I've only seen him on Rots.Should something Happen to them?

I wont rate it yet, since I've only seen it once (and I'm planning on seeing it again) but I was a bit disappointed with some of the changes they made in the characters. C-3PO's voice bothered me so much, I missed his old annoying little British voice. The movie itself was okay, it definietly could have been better but I have to keep in mind that this film was meant for younger children. Definitely viewing this again tonight...

C-3PO's voice bothered me so much, I missed his old annoying little British voice. Thats funny...Anthony Daniels played him in all the movies and several radio dramatizations.
