Does anyone that duals or plays with force-fx lightsabers use gloves? I have personally found that a good pair of gloves means so much when wielding a force-fx. They provide better grip and less irritation to bare hands making them easier to work with. I use a pair of padded leather winter gloves and since I got them my skills have improved. Anyone else agree to this? If you haven't any, try out a good pair of gloves. It's really helped me improve.

What kind of gloves are these exactly? What are they made of? They are leather skiing/winter gloves. I got them from Big 5 for like 15 dollars. Just black leather gloves with buckles, preferably padded on the inside for hand protection. If you get a pair you'll see just how effective they are when they are scratching up your gloves and not your hands. Plus it helps me move the saber around quicker and hold it tighter cause I don't have to worry about hurting my hands on all the buttons and grooves of the saber hilt.

I was going to pick up my Force FX lightsaber soon, so I will be sure to try out some gloves. Thanks for the tip, Phoenix!

Tried the gloves and I must say, that I can move/spin the lightsaber a lot better without them. Maybe I picked up the wrong kind.

Or maybe you just don't need gloves?

Or maybe you just don't need gloves? Yeah. You probably don't need gloves to duel.

I have to say there's nothing like a good pair of gloves to help you feel the force flowing through you. Definitely helps in setting that "I'm one bad*** Jedi!" taking on the whole Galactic Empire feel. Although I do have to admit certain spins are harder with gloves, I generally prefer wearing them. Really it's whatever it takes to get you in that Star Wars feeling, for me it's an FX with gloves.

good idea...definately less hand irritation...but with the gloves its much harder to do some spins and some other moves..good idea though

I think using gloves is a good idea. Sometimes your hands get a bit sweaty and you can end up with a flying lightsaber lol

Exactly, it takes a bit of getting used to but it's well worth it.
