OK, thanks for your responses. I'll join, no harm in that. I've got a MR Yoda lightsaber, it arrived in the post today, does it have a "clash" sound? Also, the sound is really crummy, is this normal? Yes it has a clash sound, and I haven't heard anything much on the sound good or bad. I didn't think it was supposed to be that bad. YOu may have gotten a dud.

Which one is better? Which one should I take? Please help I have the same problem. Well, almost. I plan on buying a converted saber from Ultra Sabers, but I wasn't able to choose between the two sabers. I figure that not only do I have several red sabers, but I also like the Anakin ROTS more than the Vader ESB. Aesthetically, I find the Vader more appealing, but the Luke feels better and is more nostalgic. In the end, you're not going to regret buying either since it'll be your first saber. My first saber was the Vader ESB and I still love that thing, it's still my favourite in my collection simply because it was my first Force FX saber. If you want to know which one I'd choose, I'd go with the Luke.

Shouldn't, honestly. What kind of weather has it been through and was it in something like a storage shed? If it was in hot weather (arizona/texas style) and in a storage shed, it might have actually been hot enough to melt the plastics.

Hi! Looking for a little help here, you guys here seem very helpful. I previously own a Vader ESB Force FX Saber and it works fine. As MR has stopped making the sabers I thought I'd buy another one before they are all gone and the prices go through the roof. I live in Sweden and retailers selling them here are very few...but I found a shop who had 2 sabers left...1 Vader ESB and 1 Luke ANH. I bought the Luke ANH one but when I came home with it and unpacked it I noticed it had been opened before and there where even batteries in it....OK, maybe the guys in the store have been playing a little with it...no problem. Yes, there was...at least I think there is....it's not at all responsive...not like the Vader ESB at least. For the clash sound to come I have to hit it really hard...I heard that it gets better the more you use it. But the real problem is that there is different clash sounds...one of them sounds like a blaster deflection sound and one sounds like the ignition sound. This can't be normal right?? I'm gonna call the store tomorrow and hear with them if they have screwed and changed the soundboard or something. I can probably post a video taken with my cellphone if I get it to work later tonight.
So if anyone knows anything that can be wrong I would be very grateful..

You've probably got a defacto ligtsaber dude, i suggest you go and scream at the dude that sold you that piece of junk. The Luke ANH Usually is a dam good ligthsaber when it comes to responsiveness, the Blaster deflection clash sound is perfectly normal, while the activation clash sound is odd. Does the saber make the same sound when you turn on the thing?, cus if it does that you should send it back. The Luke, like allot of other sabers, has 3 clash sounds,1 activation sound and 1 deactivation sound. And yes, the clash sensor does get more sensitive the more you use it but, it should not be as bad as you describe it to be....you hardly have to touch my Luke's blade for the clash to go off, so that's weird, but i suggest you swing that saber around for a few more days before you send it back, it's condition should improve

Thanks for the reply! Good thing you told me about the 3 different clash sounds...only thought it had 1 like my other one. All 3 sounds sound more normal now when I have used it a bit and now that its normal. The clash sound still takes a little banging, but when I hit against my other sabers blade it reacts directly with a soft hit...so no problems there no more...it will probably be better and better. You wrote that the Luke ANH saber is one of the most responsive ones....well, not mine....maybe it will get better or I just have to live with it. If I had an option to return it and get another one in return I would do it but there isn't anymore left what I know here in Sweden. Thinking about buying a Hasbro one and give my old to my little brother...I'm trying hard to convert him into a Star Wars fan...with little luck so far....Indiana Jones is way cooler at the time being Thanks again for responding...great community you got here, it will come to use for me later on as I plan on buying or converting a saber and could use some tips and advice...

Hi all,
Just looking for some advice, I've been out of the FX scene for a while. I've got two brand new SW-203S ROTJ EL (the 2003 version) that I'm thinking about selling. I paid about $500 for each of them when I got them. Does anyone know what kind of price these are going for now?
Thanks, Justin

Well it really depends on the condition of both sabers and the boxes they came in. IF they are completely mint you'd may be looking at MAYBE around 450-520 US$ They are a very rare saber, and highly collectible but it really depends on what type of collector looks over your sabers. I'm not to sure, so don't take my word on it. But This is about what you might expect.

Great, thanks for the help! These things couldn't be newer if they came straight off of the MR line, honestly. I'll post on these forums if and when I list them.
Thanks again!
