Hi guys, i picked up a Luke ROTJ fx saber on ebay for next to nothing the other day, it was listed as "in need of repair" so i thought i would have a go (at £14.99 i had nothing to lose by trying) The problem is that the battery cover (the pommel) is stuck fast and in trying to remove it the previous owner broke the switch.... i removed and repaired the switch and i am happy with that, but i cant shift the battery cap at all. any suggestions guys? Even if i cant fix it, it will still make a nice display item along with all my others but i would like to try. As far as i can tell its the LED model too

Alright this an edit... If I clean the white blade part with oh a Wet paper towel and a rag to dry it off will that do any damage? And no I did not put the water close to the hilt. And I have just noticed something If you look for my post I will post it on here shortly... forcefx.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=mr&action=display&thread=4108I had trouble with the saber goin berserk. I was walkin down to a local drug store last night while carrying the saber just showin off but while I was at the store I decided to get new batteries just for the occasion. So I go outside, Sit down, and remove the batteries and put the new ones in. And before I knew it started all over again. Is there a problem with it? And when I got home It was fine... Then I decided to test something I went in my back yard for a few seconds did a couple of flips with it and pretty soon it would ignite randomly and freeze up on me. So i went inside its fine. So I found out that the saber is better inside than out is there something wrong here? Need help please

Here is the problem:The sound on my Vader Ep V light saber is all static like. And yes i have tryed taking out the batterys and putting them back in, and yes they are new. Here is the story:I removed the black paint on the bottom of the battery pack. Then used steel wool to shine up the metal. Now inside there are little strands of steel that are magnetically stuck to the speaker. 1. I was wondering if that would be affecting the sound quality . 2. Are there any recommendations on how to solve this problem P.S. This is my only force fx please help

Kind of an advanced question. I just discovered this thread when I had this problem so I'm new here. I have an Anakin ROTS lightsaber and it's a couple years old but the problem is it won't turn off unless I remove the battery pack. I think the switch might be short circuiting since it came it might have gotten damp one time but It is always on no matter the switch position. Would I have to replace the switch or is this something wrong with the circuits inside?
