Hey guys sorry it has taken me a while to post any progress up on the mandalorian armor that I am making. Over the days I have been pretty busy dealing wth homework from school and having to study for a math test that I took today. But overall everything is progressing extremely well.
Yesterday, seeing as I have only one class....I had the chance to head over to Wal*Mart and purchase one of those clone commander blasters that I just barley took notice of. Because I have a strong interest in clones I figured why not and use a clone style weapon for my mandalorian armor. And so that is where the clone commander blaster came into effect. I'll take some photos today and post them up. It is really cool.

Hopefully tonight I (or tomorrow) will get some paint and start on all of the armor peaces. This includes the helmet, weapon, and armor peaces. The helmet itself I really don't know what it is made out of because it was given to me by a friend from another website but it sure is a kick @$$ looking helmet. Like I said the only thing else I need is a t-visor and I am set.

Wanting some updates guys? Well I got them for you. Today was the day I was able to get outside of the house and able to get some stuff for the costume. And by stuff I mean Krylon Fusion paint to paint my bucket, weapon, and armor. This will be truly amazing. By tomorrow I am hopping to paint my helmet and weapon. Then hopefully Friday the armor will be complete. Only other thing need is some velcro and a t-visor and I will be set and ready. And thanks to some extra time and the help from my dad; managed to pull through cutting the 'T' out for when I do get a tinted t-visor along with the trim on the bottom. There is the photo below.

When I do go to either HD or Lowes what would I look under to get the visor. Green is sounding like a mighty fine color to use in my book LOL! And it's a good thing I wont need the tinting for it all LOL! Now that is all aside with the T-Visor lets get some updates going. The helmet updates will be on tomorrow. Thursday is one one of my longer days at school so I really could not get anything accomplished today except with some materials that I am putting into the costume to make it look more cool. So I pulled out my black mask that I used for my sith costume a while back and test fitted it with a sweet looking bandana that will also be put into the armor. I was looking all over for it and finally found it. So can you all guess what kind of shirt I am wearing in that photo? LOL! I am kidding you don't have to guess unless you want to. Anyway, moving on my parents have been cleaning and straightening up one of our rooms which we call the "big living room" it used to be a garage but the people who lived here before us modeled it into another room. Anyway, they pulled out a bunch of stuff and set it in the regular living room we use everyday. Turns out one of them was a black pack. I thought since I wont have a back plate that I will just use this until then. I believe it will work well with the armor and helmet. Return later tomorrow and I will get the photos of my helmet up for viewing. Thanks for supporting me in this guys.

Nice, the cutting of the t-visor must not have been an easy task. Looking good, keep us updated

How much was the helmet? I might buy one instead of making my helmet, and heavily modify the mando helmet.

Well my dad started out with a knife then brought out the electrical supplies to get the rest of it off. I am hopping to get over to Home Depot to get stuff for a visor and hopefully have it installed at least by sunday.
The helmet on the other hand was given to me from a friend off of thedentedhelmet.com. But you can check on ebay or amazon for helmets that range around 30 up to 60 dollars in cash. Good luck Ronok!

Don't buy pre-made ones on ebay, go to a local supply store and get a shaded welder's lenses sheet and cut one out yourself. Make sure its not the darker grades used for heavy welding otherwise you won't see the tip of your nose.

That was what I was planning on doing in the first place Adenn. A friend from another site which I am hosting this project sudjested the very same thing. So sometime this week I will be going to Home Depot to get the material for a visor. Thinking of going with a nice green color. So for now....here are some updates!Started with the bucket and went into the weapon seeing as it was the next smallest thing to paint. I put up about two layers of grey paint on the helmet and may need a third which I will do tomorrow along with adding the first coat of red on the helmet. All in all I am pleased with how it turned out. I also worked with my weapon as well which turned out really good. It actually does look like the DC-15S blaster rifle seen from the Clone Wars animation series on Cartoon Network. So far everything is going well. I am going to touch up and do some more stuff tomorrow. Just wanted to get the basic stuff down today that way I would be ready for tomorrow's paint after my nephews football game. Before I went to school I went on searching along with my mom and we came across some battery operated glow sticks which I am thinking of using for my helmet so anyone who comes across me will see me instead of running into a darkened mando LOL! Need to decide what color to use for the glow sticks. But as I have stated before I am going to finish up on my weapon as the trigger does need to be painted to look better and I will begin work on the helmet more adding on battle damage and all that other good stuff. Hopefully the first coat of red will be on for viewing and probally black on sunday. That's all for now folks.
