I was just wondering if anyone else thinks [[Darth Maul]] was an interesting/cool character? I liked his moves, and face paint and tattoos, but his lightsaber was probably the best part. I actually like Double-Bladed lightsabers a bit more than the normal ones now. Anyway, I wish they had done more with Maul....given him more speaking lines, more of a personality, and showed his [[Sith]] rage a bit more.. Oh God yes Darth Maul was a kick a** character! He is AWESOME! I really like how they made him, his moves, everything he was just always fun to watch  its too bad they killed him off tho, i found it to be a bit too simple for his death tho....he was so cool, if he is going to die, give him a more dramatic death than that...come on  |

Yeah I loved Darth Maul, but I was sad that he didn't get that much Dialog, I mean the guy who did the voice for Maul wasn't even Ray Park, which played the actual maul, but didn't do the voice.

Maul is a great character and one of my Facvorite swordsman....but obiwan tops him in my book...and also cuts his body in half hehe ;D

Believe me, if you have ever heard Ray Park talk in his other films, ie. Ballistic Ecks vs. Sever, or even X-Men, ummmm, no, his voice just doesn't sound like a sith should. The voiceover was perfect in TPM in my opinion. The whole accent thing Ray has, um, no. |

I TOTALLY AGREE Jedi Nate...Ray is insane with a saber but he cannot...i repeat CANNOT play the character of a sith lord...

the reason he was killed off it said in the special edition behind the scene stuff somewhere in there, lucas didnt think people would like maul. but after the first movie and everything he changed his mind sayin he wished he hadnt killed him. it would have pleased me to have maul in all three of the prequal movies though. i could otally see him fighting on geonosis lol

Darth Maul is the best Sith. He moves quickly and is very flexable. Double blades ARE MUCH BETTER than the singles. I wish they gave him more lines too. He said like what, 2 LINES!?!? They say he climbed out of the pit in which he fell and Darth Sideous gave him Robotic Legs. Cool Huh?  ;D |

Keeping Darth Maul alive through the trilogy would have given the story of Anakin's transformation more emotion. Instead of Anakin killing Darth Sidious he could have had a GREAT saber fight with Maul,killed him and then he would have earned the name Darth Vader.
