I was just wondering if anyone else thinks [[Darth Maul]] was an interesting/cool character?
I liked his moves, and face paint and tattoos, but his lightsaber was probably the best part.
I actually like Double-Bladed lightsabers a bit more than the normal ones now. Anyway, I wish they had done more with Maul....given him more speaking lines, more of a personality, and showed his [[Sith]] rage a bit more..

Maul was the best of them all... too bad Lucas (who is a GREAT guy for creating STAR WARS) had Obi-Wan Kenobi kill him in the end.
I loved his double-bladed lightsaber, face paint, etc. They definately should have gone more into his character, and shown more of his sith rage. Along with giving him more lines of course!

Dath Maul was definitely one of my favourite characters from Ep1. Along with Qui-Gon. I wish he had gotten more lines, but I'm not too phased because he got that awesome speech about fear, even if it was short.

When I saw Episode I for the first time, I remember thinking "Now THAT's how Jedi and Sith are suppose to be fighting one another!"
Darth Maul rekindled my imagination for lightsaber fighting, and that's why he's my favorite prequel character.

Even though I don't like the Zabrak overall (well to play as them in games), I really liked Darth Maul, I almsot like him as much as I do an sith in the 6 movies! Its actually ashame there isn't/wasn't more "sith" (more non human ones at that) in the movies, although I understand why there isn't.

true, i do wish there were more non-human sith like maul in the trilogy/saga and obi-wan is probably one of the best prequel duelers in the first three

darth maul definately had the potential to be the best sith because he was nothing but hate and anger but he had complete control
thats what a sith is after all isnt it?
my cousin cried when he got chopped

Darth Maul was the best sith ever. He was a TRUE sith. From birth he was raised to be Sith. He has a novel out and it goes more in depth about him. Also the comic series does too. I recommend both. Also he is brought back in the EU to face Vader. They preserved his upper body and gave him robot legs.

I too loved Darth Mauls lightsaber. If only I can get it in [glow=blue,2,300]Blue[/glow]. One of these days though, I'm gonna buy myself that lightsaber ;D But yeah, I too wish that the Maul had more dialogue. It would have helped his character to appear more...real. But that didn't happened...and he got hanked. What a shame... ~SoulRythm~

As others have said here, Im sure there will be more books with Maul included. Not to mention games, ect. And, certainly, there will be future Jedi and sith who come from his home-planet (where ever the hell that is-- potential pun intended). As the new animated series comes closer and as the live action TV series gets closer, maybe we will see more interesting things like that. Who knows? But I am sure of one thing: We have not seen the end to Maul-like creatures, and cooler sabers.

For a fierce fighter, his ending was cheesy. At least they introduced the saber staff as canon and not a fan add-on.
